Disney Dining Systems Down

Just called Disney Dining (1:22pm EST) to make an ADR and was told their systems are down. When I asked how long, she said they were told a couple of hours.

I work in a call center and most days are a zoo! I love it when the systems go down. I love it when I get to say "I'm sorry, our systems are down. Please call back at ..." :rotfl2: I wonder if the Disney reps ever feel that way.
 
She said that she was unsure why the system went down. It could be anything. Our work system went down one day and it was several hours before it came back up and we were never told why it went down.
 
Yes, all systems for booking are down. The last person I spoke to does not know when they will be up!! :confused3
 
I wonder if they will ever go to being able to make ADR's on-line. After all, they let you make hotel and package reservations on-line. It would probably make things more efficient..... :badpc:
 
Gave a quick call back to check to see if the systems were back up as of yet and was told no, that they were still down. He said between 2-3 hours is what they are being told.
 
Their website seems to be down too. I've been trying to open it for the last few minutes with no luck.
 
You would think they would say right off the bat the systems are down instead of having to put in all the info.

I also had a prob with the web site

it would be nice to make ADRs online with a little grid that would show you whats available, what times and what restaurants
 
I know DD is 407 WDWDINE, but I need to call them like, this second, but I'm at work and can't call from the phone. (I work in NJ!) So I'm wondering if there's an 800 #?? Anyone know?

No 800 number - they get into your wallet before you even get there!

I just got off the phone with them and my CM said ALL systems are down - at the call centers, parks, website, etc. She was blaming Stitch. :stitch2: I told her I'd be happy if he were banned from the kingdom! Anyway, I think it might be as good a day as any NOT to be in the world.
 
My husband works front desk over at All Star and he said computers property wide are down. They were told 3-4 hours at 1pm but nothing yet. Glad I am not working tonight!

OMG, think of all those people who may have to wait until 179 days before arrival to make ADRs. What is the world coming to??? :rolleyes:
 
Thanks for those 800 numbers.

My sister left for DW last Wednesday. She was there in the transition for free dining and she said it was HORRIBLE! Crowds of people came in the first day free dining started. She was thankful she had a few good days of no crowds though.
Maybe the systems are down because all these free dining people are just now trying to make ADRs?? Who knows...
I'm going to be in the world a day or 2 before free dining ends (I arriver 9/28), so hopefully the crowds will be deminished and I'll get to enjoy my free dining for the remainder of the trip :goodvibes
 
I just called and was told that the "systems are magically upgrading". A nice Disney spin on the situation.

Just hung up the phone with Disney Dining and their systems are back up and running. No CP packages yet. Still tomorrow morning release.
