We are looking to stay at one of the DVC resorts for a week through an exchange, how many days do we have to book for the dining plan if we decide to go this route? We would be there for 8 days, but would only be getting a 7 day MYW ticket, and would prefer even less days on the plan if at all possible.

The dinning plan has to be booked for all persons in the room for all NIGHTS of the stay. At the DVC resorts members do not have to purchase tickets to get the dinning plan, but I am not sure if the same rules apply when exchanging into DVC.

You should have been provided a number to call to pay your $95 resort fee (I believe that is the amount, my parents traded in last year and that is what they paid ) I would think they can tell you the ins and outs and if any rules are different when trading in??

DVC members don't have to purchase tickets to get the DDP. But there are no "exceptions" on the nights and person rules. All nights, all people! So if this is an 8 night stay for four, then you will by 8 nights of dining plan for four people....

NIGHTS. You stay 7 nights you pay for 7 nights dining for each person in the room.
