i have a few question about the dining plan

as im getting the free counter service plan due to the offer when i booked it,

1, how do i get the most out of it

2, what is the best counter service at each park and DTD

3, can i go to the other resorts and use there counter service

we always use counter service. yes u can use at other resorts, if u go on wdwinfo and go on dining you can look at all the places you can use the credits at and also what each of them offer.

I would recommend allears.net

That site lists the restaurants and menus for WDW. It also has ratings and reviews, information about character meals, etc. It is our "go to" to plan our meals.

I think what the best meals would be for you and your group really depends on the people and ages traveling. If you want character meals you would want to choose your top characters to see, if you want finer dining you would be looking more at the resorts or EPCOT parks.

If you have more details about what the group is like, ages, and what you typically might like to eat you will get better answers.

Getting the "most out of it" is a pretty variable and subjective concept. Since you're getting free QSDP, as long as the value (to you) that you get out of the plan is greater than what you might have saved using other discounts, then you're objectively "ahead of the game".

So, to that end, getting the most out of the QSDP for you would likely just be getting what you want, when you want it.

The CS locations within the parks that generally get the best marks from dining plan participants are:

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ
Epoct: Sunshine Seasons, Tangerine Cafe
Hollywood Studios: none
Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's

At DTD, Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich generally get the most positive reviews.

As for resorts, the ones I hear the best CS comments about are Coronado Springs (Pepper Market) and Port Orleans Riverside.

Also note the number snack credits you will have -- then take a look at the stickied thread on this forum for the wide range of options available.

E - Sunshine Seasons
AK - Pizzafari & Flametree BBQ
HS - Catalina Eddie's

We always stay at POR & absolutely love their food court. They offer a create-your-own pasta station that is great!! You choose your pasta, sauce, meat, veggies, & spices and it is cooked to order. They serve it with a breadstick that would more accurately be named garlic bread. They also have a carving station & gourmet sandwiches, in addition to the standard burgers & nuggest. The bakery has a wide selection of desserts or you can choose a hand-dipped ice cream.

We always stay at POR and I also love their food court. In addition to the make you own pasta station, they have a make your own salad station. You pick the type of lettuce and other veggies you want and add either chicken or steak as well as other toppings and dressing.
