Can we use a table service credit towards a counter service meal? I don't think we can, but DH insists we should be able to use it. So I decided to ask the people here.

Last year, Sept..we used our table credits a couple of times at a counter service, not only did we use them, but they gave us vouchers for two free snacks with each ts credit we used...we just had to let the cashier know before we ordered that we needed them to deduct our ts credits instead...maybe there is a change this year, just ask...

it last year during the free dining period, but that was most likely driven by the lack of TS ADR availability. I don't think it's usually allowed.

On a somewhat related note, I read recently where someone was able to exchanged a CS credit for four snack credits

We did that on our last trip. We were too tired to make our last reservation so we took a counter service at POP's food court. It shouldn't be a problem.

September is free dining. This is usually permitted during free dining. At other times they do not hand out snacks and merchandise for trading TS credits for CS. If you go to your resort concierge and ask them to convert your TS credits to CS, they may be able to do that for you, but it will be a one-to-one exchange (no snacks or merchandise) and you can't convert them back to TS if you change your mind.

There's been no announcement yet regarding trading TS for CS for free dining 2009 but there probably will be one before August 16.

You can't exchange CS credits for snack credits. What you might be able to do is go to a CS location that also sells snacks and cash in a CS credit and they will let you take a few snacks instead of a regular meal. It's possible you may get a CM that won't let you do it, so ask before you go into the food court and pick up the snacks. But, for example, if you want more snack credits to use at the food and wine festival, you can't trade in your CS credits and receive extra snack credits.

We were able to in Dec 2007. We went to the front desk to ask and were told that as long as the register had the capability of ringing up a TS credit, we could do it. There was no need to convert it to a CS credit in the system first. DH had been feeling ill one day and did not join us. We ended up using the TS credit at the CS place at Wilderness Lodge on our last day.

When I booked our Aug 2009 trip with free dining I was asked by the CM if I wanted to upgrade the meal plan. I said no because I didn't want all of the TS Meals. She said you could convert them to CS meals. So it can be done. Just call and check with the Disney Travel Company. Good Luck.

In the past, during times of free dining Disney has allowed people to exchange a TS for a CS, plus some freebie (last year it was two snack vouchers or a little mesh bag, the year before it was a lanyard with two pins, I believe).

During other times of the year there have been reports that you could exchange a TS for a CS (a one for one exchange with no freebies added) at resort food courts only. A manager had to be called in or you had to go to your resort guest services to get it done. There have never been any reports of anyone being able to do this at a park CS, (again except for during times of free dining).

Yes. We are on the Deluxe plan, and I have asked this question everytime that I call them (alot), just to make sure. Just in case there is a time that we want to grab a quick service, I wanted to know if that is possible.

On deluxe dining, there are no TS or CS credits. You simply have meal credits that may be used interchangeably at TS or CS locations.
