Disney Dining Plan must match MYW Pkg

My family will be returning to WDW in October 2006. My DH and DD went last year (she was 2), anyway, we have 6 days remaining on 10-day no exp tix that DH and I will use. This trip will also include my 2 step-children, and DD will be 3 -- all will need tix. Would like the Dinsey Dining, trying to find an answer to this....

If I book package at POR for all 5 of us, with 1 day tickets and dining, could I upgrade the kids tickets to 6 days once we arrive? And if so, would we get the dining plan for the full 6 days that we are there or just the 1 day? I am soooo confused, please help.

Yes you should be able to upgrade the tickets at checkin. The dining plan correlates with the number of nights at your hotel, not the number of ticketed days.

The DP # of days is with the #of nights you stay. We had tickets for 4 days but stayed 5 nights, so we got 5 days worth of the DP.

Thanks for this info. I have tried to explain this to a friend and she insists that you can only get dining plan if you stay 6 days or more.
