Disney Dining Plan 2011

Where did you hear that?

Several CMs at 407-WDW-DINE. I am not saying that it is 100% accurate information, but they are saying that they have a memo stating that 2011 pricing is being released on Sunday, August 15th.

Well this Sunday isn't the 15th.:sad2: Darn. Guess we have over a week until we find out.

I'm glad to see the refillable mug is included in the QSDP for 2011. The rumor was, the mug was going to be dropped from the plan as were desserts. Desserts also remain for 2011. When I was first told of the two beverages in the morning, it took me by surprise. It is a nice feature, but not necessary for me. Especially, if I have the mug for coffee etc.

I agree. We drive, so we bring a case of water anyway. We bring Starbucks Via instant packs for our mugs -- then we'd get two drinks on top of that -- a little much to carry and not needed, IMO (at least for us). So, depending upon how much they've increased the price, the QSDP may still be something we wind up doing again after all.

So is there or is there not a DxDP for 2011? Or is it just QSDP and DDP?

I think the idea for the juice for breakfast was to substitute for a dessert, as there is no dessert with breakfast. Looks like they just dropped it.

Breakfast was never the best value use of a credit, but without the second juice it certainly offers even less now. I suspect they have done this based on the fact that only the regular DDP does not get resort mugs included and guests generally use their mugs and take 2 drinks to go.

I'm also glad to see the mugs stayed. :thumbsup2

In the deluxe meal plan 2 counter service meals and one table service meals? Also, didn't see the Aloha place listed is that a seperate place as well? We want to go in Jan. and am hoping to get things set soon. This is really a pain to wait for prices to come out before booking. I am already in the 180 day period now.

Deluxe plan is 3 meal credits per night to use for either TS or CS. Plus 2 snacks per night and refillable mug. I don't know what you mean by Aloha place - Ohana, Kona or Spirit of Aloha dinner show? All three are listed.

We leave for Disney in 9 days and I am already looking at the next years unofficial meal plan. hahahaha....I keep mentioning things to DH as subtlely as possible in hopes he will decide to go back next year. I found troop tickets are still around so instead of using our no expiration date tickets we added to our honeymoon packace in 2008 we are going to get those. So we still have tickets sitting around...as long as I can keep those I can keep using them to reel him back in.:lmao: The DXDDP is his FAVORITE....I honestly think he would refuse to go it if disappeared....I could probably live off pop tarts if it got me to see the mouse, but DH loves the dining at Disney.

Does anybody know what the difference is between the "Deluxe Dining Plan" and the "Premium Dining Plan"? They look the same to me - but I very well could be missing something.

Aloha Isle. That's considered snack service and the snack places are not listed on the brochure, only the actual restaurants.

The premium and platinum plans are not part of the Disney Dining Plan program. They're not included in free dining, you can't upgrade to them from free dining, you can't book them with a ticketless AP package and they're not applicable to DVC reservations. They include much more than just dining and cost a good deal more per night (about $140 per adult per night for premium, $200 per adult per night for platinum.) The dining component looks like the Deluxe Dining Plan with a few differences: All restaurants are one credit, even signatures, and several restaurants that do not participate in the Disney Dining Plan will accept the Premium/Platinum plans (examples are Fulton's, TRex, Rainforest Cafe, Victoria & Albert's _ V&A accepts the Platinum only)

Wow thanks. Its good to know I only had a part brain freeze today. I did have the first part right LOL.
