If I book a room at the Florida resident rate, can I still purchase the dining plan? Also, if I read correctly, I must purchase a park ticket as well. If I stay five nights, can this still be a one day ticket like you could do with the free dining plan?

I have a friend who buys a 1 night ticket and then dining plan for the whole trip. I don't know whether she uses a FL res. rate for the room or not. I've talked to central res, and they've repeatedly said they don't think you can add the dining plan to a discounted room (FL res or AP rate).

Its not worth it to me to pay rack rate for the room then. I don't HAVE to eat at table service meals half the time, I just thought it might be an interesting change. But it certainly isn't worth adding $35.00 for the dining plan plus the difference in the room cost plus the cost of a ticket I don't even need.

Thanks. :)

I'm a FL resident and I booked the new YQE code with room/tickets/dining. It's a hell of a deal. The discount acutally comes off the room and makes it cheaper than the resident rate. It works out to $53 a nite at a value WITH TAX (not plus). We purchased one day base passes and intend to upgrade them to SP when we get there. Since it's a one day pass tho, it shouldn't expire, so you can just save it and use it towards a SP renewal if you already have one. At least thats what ppl were doing with APs to get the free dining and I haven't heard any different this time. On this deal you acutally pay for the dining, but you get a better room deal than the FL resident rate in the bargain!

Cost of six nites at pop for 2 A and 2 C with one day base passes = 552.56

Cost of one day base passes with tax = 229.52

552.56 - 229.53 = 323.03 (cost of room) / 6 (number of nights) = $53.84 per night

Cost of "package deal" with dining added = $1092.32

Of course this deal is only for certain dates so I guess it really depends on when you plan on going.

I too was angry that you couldn't PAY for the dining plan as an add on to a discounted room....so I email disney and let them know! And a few weeks later this deal comes out, so mabey they're listening. :listen:

I thought that the passes now expire 14 days after your 1st use. You can buy passes that don't expire (at least military can at SOG) , but it costs extra.

I've already booked rooms with an AP, so they are non-refundable. Now this isn't even an option to try to get that package you're talking about. ARGH!

Well...one day passes don't expire b/c the first day of use is the ONLY day of use....if you already have an AP or SP then you can just save the pass till you need to renew: then put the price of the one days towards the cost of renewal.

where did you find this code? I didn't see it on Mousesavers. When did it come out?

it's the new one that just came out " a spoon full or sugar or the whole bowl full" YQE is the same thing as YQD but with dining.

Front page of mousesaver/ wdw resort home page/ and I believe the banner at the top of the code forum on this board.
