Can somebody please help me out on this.

We are annual passholders and receive 10% off in certain restaurants.

If I purchase the DDE will the 20% discount be on top of my 10% annual?

If I book the fantasmic package at Hollywood and Vine will I get 20% of that?

If some of you have used this before can you please tell me if its worth it.

We are not staying on site this year (although we are going twice next year with one trip stay at ASM).

Maybe I am just having a "mad moment" but I just dont get it.

Thanks

The 20% discount replaces the AP 10% discount :)

I'm sure the DDE discount does not apply to 'special' event meal packages like Fantasmic and Candlelight Procession :(

It does apply and it also includes drinks. I have done Fantasmic package twice using the discount of DDE.

Oh I am really pleased to hear this! Thanks pigsty, this is one of my more expensive meals (we are doing the Brown Derby) so I am pleased to hear we get 20% off that!

I have just received my DDE card and it states that it can't be used with the Fantasmic or the candlelight packages.

The only other restriction is that it can't be used on certain holidays, they are Easter, Mothers day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Dec 24th, 25th 31st and the 1st Janurary. :sunny:

Oh bother :(

Thanks for posting anyway Mark - I am still waiting for my DDE to arrive.

I have Mark!

I booked most of them two months ago and have added a few more since; I was concerned that there might be less walk ups available than normal due to the 50 Years Celebration. I think we've got about 14 in total (spread over 20 nights)

We are happy to do counter service but it's nice to have one meal a day as a sit down and we won;t have a car until the last week so options are a little bit more limited than usual ;)

When is your trip?

It is very funny. I just used it at Hollywood and Vine and they did give me the 20% discount on the Fantasmic Package. I will check with a friend of mine who works in Disney and will post.

Hi Miffy

Sorry about the delay in replying have not been online since yesterday, we are staying at SSR for 6 nights from the 22nd of Aug, then a 4 night cruise followed by another 6 nights at SSR and then to end the holiday off we are spending a couple of nights at Vero.

So far we have only booked a couple of places to eat so will need to get cracking over the next week or so.

I see on your thread that you are staying at SSR, have you stayed there before and if so what did you think of it? I have seen some reviews both good and bad but I always believe a holiday is what you make of it anyway.

Mark

Fancy that Mark, we will be there at the same time!

We check into Carribbean beach for 1 night when we arrive (to avoid those pesky weekend points) and then have 12 nights at Boardwalk Villas. 2 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge and then 5 nights at SSR (from Sunday August 28th onwards)

We have stayed at SSR before and loved it (but admittedly I am biased). What appealed in particular was the very relaxing atmospehere there - quite removed from the frenetic parks - but hop on a bus and you were at a park within 10 minutes. It is a very deluxe feeling resort, but welcoming too.

Really liked the location close to DTD which is somewhere we spend a lot of time.

The food court gets old quite quickly but there are so many other dining options at DTD and throughout WDW I sort of just think "oh well" and rumours are rife that they will open another restaurant (who knows though?)
