Hi, sure Ive read somewhere about a card that gets you discount at Disney restaurants. Anyone know anything about this and where I can get one, cost etc?.. TIA

It's not a bad deal. 20% off at all table service restaurants and bars attached to them (and the 20% includes alcohol). We save several hundred dollars a trip but it does cost 70 or 80 dollars to start with.

I see you like to stay on site, look into discounts for Disney hotels, or if you stay offsite like us then free parking with AP. Discounts off purchases at DTD. Discounts off special event tickets etc.
We buy the AP without Waterparks just over £200 each a year great value for us. Although don't like Dining in Disney so the DDE card would not be worth it for us.
It might be worth you just getting 1 AP to get the discounts and everyone else in your party usual tickets you buy.

You can only buy them from Disney and no it is not included.

I have just called DDE and they are adding an 18% tip from Jan 1st 2008.
So now you buy a card for 2% discount.....when mine runs out I will not be getting another one.

Might still be worth it I would tip that much anyway so still would come out ahead say the bill was $100 tip $20 total $120 with DDE card $100 bill -20% = $80 + $20 tip = $100 still saving $20

Well, I don't see it like this, to be honest.

I tip anyway (somewhere between 15-20% depending on service) so I am still going to get the 20% discount (more or less, depending on whether they add the tip before or after the discount).

the diferance is thats is a gratuity and not a tip,a tip is a surgestion a a gratuity has to paid in full.So if you have had bad service you will have to ge a manager to alter the added 18%.The 18% is on any total before any discount.All dinning plans and DDE cards will have the 18% gratuity plus partys of 6 and over

if using dde card from 1 person up 18% gratuity added
if using any of the meal plans,DDP,delux ddp,premium ddp 18% gratuity added
Only if 1-5 eople eating without a meal plan or without a dde card will an auto 18% not be added but will be expected
