Disney Dining Experience changing names to Tables In Wonderland

You have to say it right though;

"We're on Taaaaables in Wonderland, wheeeee"

Well, being from New England its "Taaables in Wondahhland" :goodvibes

"Are you on any of our dining plans?"
"Yes, we are on "Tables in Wonderland".
"I'm sorry"

I never refer to Tables in Wonderland (gag) as a dining plan - if I'm asked at restaurants if I am on a dining plan, I say "no." Then I present the card, whatever it's called, with the bill. I think "dining plan" refers only to the prepaid plans.

That said, "I'm on Tables in Wonderland" sounds kind of like dancing on tables, which I'm sure is not what Disney intends.

Being on "Tables in Wonderland" is illegal in 49 states :lmao:

Wow, I haven't received the email about the DDE changing to "Tables in Wonderland.":eek: It is a good thing I checked the boards. It doesn't even sound right saying it. I think I am just going to say I'm on the TIW.:rolleyes:

I am getting ready to call and make some ADR's. I will see what the reaction is.:idea:

I'd be willing to bet that the servers will have no idea what you're talking about, much less the person making the ADRs

You don't need to say you're on TIW when you make ADRS - it's only relevant when you pay your bill at the restaurant.

Unless you really just want to find out what the reaction is.

Actually, for reservations that are generally pre-paid (like CRT), it can help. As I understand it, if you DON'T tell them, you've already paid for the meal, so they return the discount to you in a gift card. If you DO tell them you have the DDE-er, TIW card, they mark the reservation as if you have DDP - you don't pre-pay, but they do keep the credit card on file in case you don't show. You then pay at the table. That's what they did for us...but it even confused me when they asked us for our KTTW cards for the DDP and I had to explain...

CRT and the dinner shows are the only prepaid ones - so you shouldn't have to worry about it otherwise. I do not ever mention that I have DDE/TIW until I pay the bill, but I don't book the prepaid meals.

Things like that are probably why they have changed the name.
