Disney Dining Experience changing names to Tables In Wonderland

Maybe Disney is trying to warn us about the future of Disney Dining ... Tables in Wonderland must mean that we're all going to be wondering where the inventive menus and fabulous food disappeared to.
True that. I like "Magical Menus" too. Or from another Disney flick, how about "Be Our Guest" which may not be very "dining" always makes me think of Lumiere anyway. FWIW.

Tables in Wonderland ???

Gag. Double gag.

My DDE expired a couple weeks ago and I've thought of renewing for our upcoming trip, forget it. I don't want a Tables in Wonderland card. We'll wait until next year when they change the name to something we can actually say out loud without shame.

Tables in Wonderland... COME ON!!! :confused3

I agree it's not the greatest name....but I won't let that keep me from joining and getting discount.

Funny, in reading this thread I am first finding out that WDW is changing the name. I did just check the Disney website and they haven't even changed the title there or suggest it will change in a few days. Maybe they won't change anything until the name actually does change.

The web site has been updated with the new name. But for now the membership application still has the old name. :)

I'm okay with it, not what I would have picked but I've got a lot more important stuff to COMPLAIN about !! Like PRICES!!

what the heck. My old card will be a collectible!

wow, this is the first I have heard of this. I don't like it. I heard a few better names on this message board. I totally understand why they would want to make a name change. It does get confusing with the many disney dining plans that are out there, but Tables of Wonderland? Sounds like an attraction, not a discount card. Oh well. Like everything else Disney does, we all manage to adjust. Guess we will adjust to this too!

If y'all think the new name is lame, just wait until you get the new cards that just say "Eat Me".

Is this a permanent name change, or only during F&W?

It is permanent. (Unless there are as many people everywhere that think it is a stupid as most of us here do and they change their minds after the flurry of mail). The email stated that our old DDE cards would work and when they expire and we renew they'd give us Tables in Wonderland cards. Ooh ;)

May I be the first to suggest, keeping the theme, of "Dining In Wonderland"...after all, its about DINING, not TABLES, which the card doesn't get us at all...

I'm baffled about this whole Wonderland theme ... first for the F&W Festival and now for the new DDE.

What gives?

I kind of liked last year's F&W theme: Tastefully Inspired. Even that would have been better than Tables in Wonderland.

"Tables in Wonderland"???

That's the best a creative organization like Disney could come up with?

I can see it now:
"Are you on any of our dining plans?"
"Yes, we are on "Tables in Wonderland".
"I'm sorry"

OK so the change is taking place on Monday Sept 15. DH and I arrive tomorrow afternoon :cool1: (Sept 14). We'll be goig to DTD to get our APs and a DDE card. So, do you think we'll get a DDE card or a TiW (Table in Wobderland) card? One would think that if it's less then 8 hours before the offical change that they would just issue the new one, but would the new card cause confussion when used that evening? It's a tough call.
