Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

What a nice relaxing day hanging out at Stormalong Bay, having a nice adults-only dinner (too bad the food wasn't good), and heading to DHS! I really hope Connor and I have the nerve to ride ToT on this trip!

So Sorry to hear about you friend...the scripture verse story was so touching and he sounds like he was an amazing man!

Awesome pic of you and your husband before your dinner! It's too bad that you guys didn't enjoy your dinner though after looking forward to it for so long.

Looking forward to hearing about MK!

It sounds like a wonderful relaxing day!

Sorry to hear that your food wasn't completely to your liking.

Your evening at DHS sounds like it was nice.

Sounds like a nice relaxing day!! To be honest, we weren't thrilled with the Yachtsman either. We've had better steaks at Outback. That bread was delicious, though!

Sleeping in and playing at the pool--sounds lovely! That slide is so fun; the kids and I went down over and over! Sorry your meal wasn't what you hoped it would be; can't wait to hear about the better meal!

Now we had “talked” Reid into riding ToT with us. He doesn’t care for this ride so he and Elizabeth usually sit out together. But Rachel begged and pleaded with him to ride with her, so he had agreed. He was not that excited-

After riding, we stopped at the Sorcerer’s Hat to do some pin shopping. This is when Reid bought his pin lanyard and his pins for Expedition Everest and ToT.

Good for Reid for giving it a try, anyway.

Yachtsman sure did smell good when I walked by it last week. If I was going on the aroma only, it would have gotten a bunch of stars. Too bad it didn't turn out to be as good in the taste department.

I am sorry for your friend's loss. It is comforting to know he was a Christian.

Sorry to hear you anniversary dinner wasn't very good! I remember in the past hearing so many great reviews of Yachtsman, but lately I've heard a few not so great ones. :sad2: And at those prices it should be GOOD!

For sure!

What a nice relaxing day hanging out at Stormalong Bay, having a nice adults-only dinner (too bad the food wasn't good), and heading to DHS! I really hope Connor and I have the nerve to ride ToT on this trip!

Think of Brooklynn doing it. She wasn't even scared of the drops; she just didn't like the ghosts. ;)

Sounds like a great day, sleeping in followed by an afternoon enjoying SAB :thumbsup2

Sorry Yachtsman wasn't it you had hoped, it stinks to look forward to a meal and then have it turn out to be just average - especially at those prices! Love the personalized menus though

Great updates! Sorry your steak wasn't that great, but I love the personalized menu. A ten minute wait for ToT? WOW! I've never seen it that low - good going!

I love the Great Movie Ride also.

What a great way to spend your sleep-in day. Sounds like Stormalong Bay was a lot of fun.

I hate to hear that your anniversary dinner wasn't as good as you had hoped it would be. I bet it was nice to go out with just the two of you though. If you are like John and I, we don't do that very often.

We got to see Mulch Sweat n Shears when we were at Hollywood Studios too! They were fantastic! John and I loved them because they played all the 80s songs that we listened to when we were dating and first married.

Woo hoo, Stormalong Bay! I was so excited when we stayed there at got to use it. The slide is great. :thumbsup2

Awesome the wait for TOT was so short. Did Reid like it?

Oh no! I hate to hear Yachtsman didn't live up to your expectations! :sad2: The menu was cute though! And at least you and Kevin had a nice meal alone for your anniversary - hopefully that made up for the less than stellar food. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear your dinner wasn't the best... I agree with you, too much red it too gross for me

Forgot to mention- I started my TR! I've got the link in my siggy :)

Don't y'all look cute all dressed for your night out??!!
I say, however, you are paying enough for your dinner, you should have it the way you wanted - totally send it back!
10 minute wait for TOT? No way, my last trip it was never under an hour wait! :confused3

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's loss.

Sounds like you all enjoyed Stormalong Bay. I am hoping hoping hoping to get in there at 7 months for next May. :beach:

How nice that you two were able to get away for a special 20th anniversary meal all alone! That's too bad that the food wasn't that great. I don't like to send food back either, I'm too scared that someone will spit in my food or something.

I would love to stay at YC or BC sometime just for the pool!

It's definitely worth it! :thumbsup2 As much as I love the Poly, the pool at YC/BC beats it hands down.

Awww sorry to hear about the dinner. At least it was just you two with no kids.

True----It's always nice to eat dinner without any kids---adults only. :)

And at those prices it should be GOOD!

I completely agree! :thumbsup2

Oh I love Stormalong Bay. So glad it was open your entire trip. I never even thought to do the slide. Now I wish I had!

What? I can't believe you didn't go down the slide! It was fun and really fast, too! :)

I am looking forward to seeing SAB when we eat at BC. Everyone says it is spectacular! I'm sorry your anniversary dinner was not good. :sad2: Looks like the evening ended well with having time in DHS. :goodvibes

SAB is an amazing place! :thumbsup2 As far as the meal goes, I guess that's how it goes. Maybe we hit it on an off night. :confused3

I really hope Connor and I have the nerve to ride ToT on this trip!

I hope y'all do too! :thumbsup2

Awesome pic of you and your husband before your dinner! It's too bad that you guys didn't enjoy your dinner though after looking forward to it for so long.

Thanks! :) It's ok---We enjoyed eating dinner together with no kids....we just weren't amazed by the food.

It sounds like a wonderful relaxing day!

Sorry to hear that your food wasn't completely to your liking.

Your evening at DHS sounds like it was nice.

It was, Megan! So relaxing that I was exhausted at the end of the day! (How does that work? Doing nothing except swimming and laying out by a pool all day can wear you out?)

To be honest, we weren't thrilled with the Yachtsman either. We've had better steaks at Outback. That bread was delicious, though!

I liked the bread, too! :)

The steak I had later in the week was sooooooooo much better!

Sleeping in and playing at the pool--sounds lovely! That slide is so fun; the kids and I went down over and over!

:thumbsup2 I only made it down once, but it was fun. I think I screamed the entire way down!

Yachtsman sure did smell good when I walked by it last week. If I was going on the aroma only, it would have gotten a bunch of stars. Too bad it didn't turn out to be as good in the taste department.

It smelled delicious when we were there, too---just the taste didn't match up for us. You can probably guess where we ate later in the week and had a better steak......................:rolleyes1

Sorry Yachtsman wasn't it you had hoped, it stinks to look forward to a meal and then have it turn out to be just average - especially at those prices! Love the personalized menus though

Oh, well---live and learn. I guess that's the only way you find out if you like a place. Too bad, it cost $100 to find that out! :sad2:

But the menus.........:) Those were pretty cool!

. A ten minute wait for ToT? WOW! I've never seen it that low - good going!

Don't you love it? :woohoo:

We got to see Mulch Sweat n Shears when we were at Hollywood Studios too! They were fantastic! John and I loved them because they played all the 80s songs that we listened to when we were dating and first married.
They're great, aren't they, Lisa? When we were there for New Year's Eve, they played 20 minute sets every half hour from about 8 p.m. until midnight. You would have loved all the music! :thumbsup2

Awesome the wait for TOT was so short. Did Reid like it?
Well......I'm not so sure. He rode it again, later in the trip, but we practically had to twist his arm to get him to do it. :confused3

The menu was cute though! And at least you and Kevin had a nice meal alone for your anniversary - hopefully that made up for the less than stellar food. :goodvibes

It was nice to just go out and eat dinner, just the two of us. AND, you're right....I got a really cute menu to take home as a souvenir! ;)

Forgot to mention- I started my TR! I've got the link in my siggy :)
YAY! I've been a bad DISer lately, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'll be sure to go check it out! :)

I'm a little late, but I'm excited to read some more! :)

Glad you're here! :)

We're just on the second full day at Disney. There's still the rest of the week to cover!

Don't y'all look cute all dressed for your night out??!!
I say, however, you are paying enough for your dinner, you should have it the way you wanted - totally send it back!
10 minute wait for TOT? No way, my last trip it was never under an hour wait! :confused3
Thanks! :)

I know I probably should have sent it back, but at that point, I had already eaten almost to the middle of the steak, so I just hated to do it then.

Yes---a 10 minute wait! Wasn't that great? :thumbsup2

Sounds like you all enjoyed Stormalong Bay. I am hoping hoping hoping to get in there at 7 months for next May. :beach:

SAB is fantastic---It has to be the best pool -and I hate to even call it just a pool---in all of Disney! :thumbsup2
