Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

What a relaxing day! I LOVED SAB. We were married the same year, DH and I's 20th was last week. We ate at Yachtsman for our 15th anniversary and we weren't too impressed with it either. Was your better steak at Kona by any chance? It smelled so good when we walked by.
Yay for low crowds at DHS!
P.S- I started my new PTR! Link is in my sig.:goodvibes

I'm surprised that the Yachtsman wasn't good. I had always heard good things about it before. :confused3 It's one of the 2 credit places I've wanted to try. Maybe it would just be easier and better to go to Kona.

Sorry I'm so late for your update, Michelle (Mark was really sore today and I spent most of the day tending him after being at the hospital the last two days). Love that you had so much fun at SAB, and I'm sorry your dinner for your anniversary didn't turn out to be so hot. We keep thinking to try Yachtsman sometime but we just never seem to find a spot for it.

I have had incredible steaks at Kona on two occasions. I think it is a safe bet for you, and of course the Polynesian is a beautiful place to walk around after your meal.

It smelled delicious when we were there, too---just the taste didn't match up for us. You can probably guess where we ate later in the week and had a better steak......................:rolleyes1

I guess Kona. :)

Sounds like a lovely relaxing day by the pool!

I'm sorry that your dinner was too great! That's a bummer! I agree with Brook! At those prices it should be AMAZING!

Yipppeee for the low crowds at DHS!

Hi Michelle! I'm slowly but surely trying to get caught up. My brain (and body) are on summer time and just are being lazy! When I'm not running from place to place, that is!

What a great day at SAB. Sorry your steak didn't work out but I bet it was nice to just have a meal with your hubby.

How brave of Reid to ride ToT. Ellie said she was going to this trip....uh, nope. But, she did ride RnRc:scared1: She didn't cry but says she's not riding it again for a while!:rotfl:

YAY for 1990! Hope you had a happy anniversary- and enjoy 20 more happy years.

I'll have to get over and check out your new PTR! :thumbsup2

It just wasn't that great to us for the price it cost. But from reading these boards so much, I do know that different folks have different thoughts on every resturant in Disney. I think that's why you pretty much have to try something for yourself. :thumbsup2 For example---Le Cellier is such a favorite of people on these boards, but we thought it was just ok when we ate there during another trip.

As far as Kona................I will have to say that it was pretty yummy-licious! :) :) :)

That's ok, Kathy. I saw your FB updates on Mark. I hope he continues to do well with his recovery. :)

I guess Kona. :)

That would be a most excellent guess.....................................:rolleyes1

It was a very enjoyable day at SAB. In fact, with the heat we've had lately, I'm wishing I was floating in SAB right now! :)

That's ok on the dinner. I've learned at Disney, that unfortunately, quality doesn't always equal the price as far as some of the meals go.

Hi-ya! :yay:

Kathy

Hi Kathy! Missed you around here---glad you're back! :)

Hi Michelle! I'm slowly but surely trying to get caught up. My brain (and body) are on summer time and just are being lazy! When I'm not running from place to place, that is!

I understand about the summer time thing! Of course, I'm down to only about three weeks before school starts!

YAY for Ellie riding RnRC---but too bad she didn't enjoy it. (Reid happens to LOVE that one!) There's always the next time.

What a great day, I'd love to sleep in at Disney til noon, but I just can't do it! :rotfl: I love SAB, the slide was being refurbed while we were there so I didn't get to try it, but it looks like so much fun! :cool1:

I'm surprised you didn't like Yachtsman! Everyone always says such great things about it! :)

I love when ToT has a short stand by time...my favorite ride, I love riding it over and over! I love DHS so much! :lovestruc Looks like you guys had a great night there! :cool1:

All caught up again Michelle! Sorry the dinner at the Yachtsman wasn't that great. Sounds like you had a better meal later in the week though. :goodvibes

SAB looks great. We took a stroll around the BC when we went last week. I'm trying to switch our October room to that resort. We think the kids would love the pool. :goodvibes

SAB looks like such fun! Sorry to hear that your dinner wasn't very good. :( Glad that you had a better one later, though. Looking forward to hearing what restaurant that was!

Well, I don't usually sleep in anywhere, but especially at Disney. But, when you got to bed the night before at 3 a.m., it's a little easier to make it to 10 or 11 a.m.! :thumbsup2

We love DHS, too! It and MK are our two favorite parks!:)

Leanne-your girls would LOVE the pool at BC! :thumbsup2 (I have a feeling that Joe might like that slide, too! ) Maybe that will work out for you!

SAB is awesome, Julia! It has to be the best pool at Disney, hands-down!

Our steaks we ate later in the week were much better! :)

Got my photopass CD yesterday in the mail---SO EXCITING!!! :woohoo: I wanted to post the ones from the days I’ve already gone through in my trip report. I’ll also add these into the specific days they came from for any new readers.

Saturday, 5/22--Epcot—We stopped and had this one taken before our DIS meet in France that evening. When we stopped to take the pic, Alicia (cinderellacrazy) and her family were having their picture made! :)

Funny story for the next picture---The PP photographer was really trying to get some sort of romantic anniversary picture and had us doing romantic stuff. He had us kiss in one picture---Needless to say, that my teenage girls were mortified and wanted to get away quickly! ;)

I can’t remember more fussing from my kids than when I made them stop for these last sets of pictures near the Tree of Life as we were leaving AK that afternoon. They were hot and tired, and they didn’t want to stop, but I insisted!

So, now I’m caught up with the photopass pics as far as my TR goes. :thumbsup2

I’ll be away from the DIS for the rest of the week. :beach: I’m headed to the beach tomorrow with my kids, my parents, and my sister and her kids----Will be back Sunday night.

This will be my first time to see first-hand the effects of the oil spill. :sad1: I sure hope I’m able to enjoy sitting on my beautiful beach!

Hey Michelle! Just getting caught back up. Great photopass pics - that cracks me up that the girls were embarrassed about the romantic stuff! I was so like that as a teenager, too!

Beautiful pictures!
Have a wonderful time at the beach!! Which beach are you headed to?
