This is our dining review from Day #2 and we returned to Le Cellier after 3 excellent trips in previous years.

The family cast as follows: (Me - Trip planner. NO CHEESE PLEASE)
DW - Easy going and also easy to please.
DS (19) - Will try anything; prefers seafood. Won't gain an ounce.
DD's (13) - A - Family soup expert. Will take a try at anything. Her twin sister T is our resident carnivore. Meat, heat & eat. PICKY

We had no wait for our 5:00PM PS but when we asked for our favorite server Denise, we were told she no longer worked there.
Loan Pham took care of us; no service complaints.
Appy's were 3 way salmon, mussels (very good), Asian shrimp cocktail (love that Wasabi slaw), Caesar salad, cheese soup (for the queen), and beef barley soup (me). I have read on these boards about the dreaded "Pepper Overdose" but had never experienced it before...............until I had the beef barley soup. I like spiced up foods, but this was almost overwhelming. I could barely finish it. Needed that delicious pretzel/sourdough bread to balance out the spice. Lemonades dominated for the kids, DW had a glass of merlot and I had a Moosehead.

The pepper train continued with the filet mignon entree's (along w/lobster tails for 4 of us.) DS had the tenderloin tips. I passed on the cheddar cheese mashed potatoes choosing the roasted yukons, and they were good. DD (A) had a side of bernaise, which she often can't live without. Steaks were good, not great, and heavy on the pepper.

Desserts included sorbet, ice cream, chocolate mousse and smores. Bill was in the $275.00 range. Meal was OK but we felt something was missing. Perhaps it was too much of the pepper, perhaps it's time for change after 4 trips. We'll pass on Le Cellier for next year, but keep it on the "maybe" list for the future.

Sounds yummy, we have a ps for this restaurant. Looking forward to the experience. Thanks for the review

Thanks for the review. Sorry about the pepper.

I was at LeCellier earlier this year for lunch. I enjoyed it. Did they still have those yummy pretzel sticks or did I clean them out on my last visit. LOL.

I love those pretzel sticks! It gets a bit embarrassing though when you have to ask for your 3rd refill of sticks.. :)

Le Cellar but 275.00 for 4 people oh well, although if I ever am asked what I would like for my last meal , I will always think of this

souded very very good :D

Thanks for posting ~ We have a ps for October, after your review, can't wait!!!!

Thanks for the info about the pepper!! We are trying this restuarant for the first time in October. From the reviews on this board I now know to pass on the prime rib and to ask them to go light on the pepper!!

cmatt try it for lunch. With our handy AP discount we never pay more than $30 for one adult and two kids meals. This doesn't include alcohol, appitizers or dessert because I just can't eat that much in one sitting.

Thanks for poatin......I am too sorry about the pepper...that too is one thing that I hate.....for 275 I too will pass. Thanks

Hi everyone..........thanks for the comments.

cmatt - I forgot to mention that we were on the Silver Plan. There is NO WAY we would have run up a tab like that without the Plan.
