Disney Dining Cancellation Info?

I just called and made reservations for the PCH Grill the day we arrive. The CM was going through my reservations and said something about a 48 hour cancellation policy. One of our reservations is for the day we arrive at 12:00. We land in LAX at 8:30 and our reservations aren't until noon, but what if we're delayed or something? What's the penalty if you don't make your reservation? I didn't give them my cc number, but they do have it in their system as we are staying at the PPH.
 
Unless is has changed recently, it's just a courtesy they ask that you give. If you can give them any notice that you won't make your reservation, they request you call them, but if you can't, there won't be any penalty.
 
If they didn't say there was a penalty for no-show then you should be fine. To be sure why not call them back and verify. Mention your time concerns.
 
What I have noticed is that if you cancel inside that time, they do NOT care. They don't note anything, don't change anything...it's kinda weird. I canceled a Blue Bayou reservation in person a few hours before, and they could not have cared less. It was really weird!
 

We had to cancel a BB ressie once, about 15 min. before we were supposed to be there!! We had a meeting that morning and it ran a LOT longer than we anticipated so we had to cancel, we called and it was not a problem at all, in fact they let us make another ressie for 2 days later with no problems at all. There is no penalty, they just ask that you let them know as soon as you can. :)
