Yes, Disney's legal dept will put an end to this. Disney does not want you to run your business off of their IT resources and a constant hit like this doing just that.

I'm quite surprised that that wasn't the first site hit with a cease and desist order. Maybe they're just ignoring Disney (for the moment). Of all of them, this is the one that really needs to be shut down. But I agree that the other sites, with their constant hits on Disney's site, are a problem.

The site that sells reservations, Dis Dining Agent, has this on their page:

9/24 Update - We are aware of similar sites being asked to halt or alter their services by Disney. At this time, DDA has received no contact from Disney. Should we hear from them at any time, we will happily oblige any request they make and we will keep you updated should any developments happen.

This is the one, IMHO, that should have been first on Disney's list.

Shutting down the folks that do nothing more than look for reservations is like pissing in the wind. I'm not saying good till they shut down the ones selling them.

I have used Disney Dining Scout. I find it a good compliment to the MDE site. You still have to go and book on your own, they don't "scalp" anything. I think Disney's dining reservation site is terribly lacking in several ways.

I liked Dining Scout. It didn't book anything for you, just let you know when there was availability.

The Disney site is just too darn slow, and I'd rather just pass altogether on Table Service meals than have to check their site multiple times

Just tried Dining Scout. Rest of the site works but the page to start a new request is down. Fatal error on server. Coincidence?
