hey everyone I'm new to the board and I had some questions for you guys...

I just became a season passholder and I'm signing up for the dining discount card.

Next month (january) I will be staying at the Carib Beach Resort for my gf's birthday ...

Any suggestions on where to make dinner reservations ? any extra tips to make the day/dinner special for her?

Thanks!

That's a tough question when you don't know the person and what they like, but I would pick -

Resorts, non-character - Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge (kind of exotic), or 'Ohana at the Poly.

Character - Chef Mickey's is fun for a birthday, but the food is just so so. I loved Park Fare for dinner at the Grand Floridian.

Parks - Le Cellier at Epcot or Coral Reef, Tony's or the Castle at MK.

Look at the menus at allears.net and see what you think.

Thanks! Just as an FYI ... non-character dining is what we are aiming for.

We had breakfast at Boma's Sunday and thought it was great... as for our likes -- nothing overly complicated...

Do any of the restaurants do anything special for b-days... or can i make any pre-arrangements... it's just two of us .. so I'm trying to think what can be done for two? a mini cake? decorated rooms?
