It was pretty humorous. DN came to babysit at 4:30. It was too late to catch matinee, so we went and did a little shopping, then off to see "The Producers." We got out of movie at 9:00 and DH got to choose his birthday dinner. Steak 'N Shake it was. So movie, treats, and dinner cost less than $50 (with free babysitting).

It was nice to spent the time together, but no cloth napkins for us.

What did you think of The Producers? We saw it on Broadway with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick and Skunka is worried that the move won't live up to the show. What did you think??

You guys are so good doing trip reports! I never did one

Me neither, I started typing one up after I got back but never finished it. The sunburn, sinus infection, and sea sickness, plus the fact that two weeks after my trip I still felt like I was on the Disney Wonder due to the 30 foot waves, did me in, even though I would still do my trip over again in a heart beat.

I felt that it "looked" more like a theatrical production than a movie. It was very humorous and Uma Thurman has legs that go to my neck!

Favorite shows are Survivor (and other various reality shows), well written comedys (sometimes hard to come by - like Two and a Half Men. Well written) and I love House Hunters on HGTV. I'm such a dork...

We watch Survivor, Amazing Race, and The Apprentice.

Don't prefer AI, Biggest Loser, etc.

I'm SO jealous. I would have loved to see them together on Broadway. Since we didn't though, we can't wait to see the movie!

You were right! It is between you and your DH to decide religion, ect... she has no say there. Mom needs to let her boy go... geesh!

I agree. She felt I was backing DH into a corner -- and I was. I needed t get this resolved BEFORE marriage. It was important enough to me that I would have let him go had he not agreed. A tough decision for me, but I felt very strongly.

I used the egg yolk and water with food coloring as a paint mixture and let the kids paint on them. Someone on here told me about the paint mixture and the kids loved doing that.
