The funny thing is all the things I played with and am sure the other about my age did are everywhere in the stores. I have a sleeping bag with Care Bears on it from when I was younger and one of my Brownies showed up at a sleepover with one that looked exactly like it they just got for their birthday. It cracked me up.
Initially I thought my mother brought mine for any girls who forgot to bring a sleeping bag with them. But this was not the case.

No, but my mom took me to a Shaun Cassidy concert in about 1978. He was wearing a blue sparkly jumpsuit and I just knew I was going to marry him because my name was Dawn. Shaun and Dawn Cassidy

Just wait -- I'm seeing styles that were popular way back and now they are popular again... speaking of Care Bears... I used to have a glass with the green bear on it - I think he was lucky bear. Anyway, it broke in college and I cried like a baby!!!! OK, maybe TMI!!!

Before my mother rolls over in her grave for not thanking everyone -- THANK YOU for all of your well wishes for our anniversary. I've got to say, I had more "happy anniversary wishes" from people here than from my own family!!! Hard to believe that I haven't met any of you except Deb - and that was for under 5 minutes!! Had I realized how much we'd be "talking" here, I would've gotten to know her better when we were in the world!! At least shared a drink or something!!!


So thank you for all your wishes - even skeptical Skunka smiled when he saw them (especially the skunka and steamboat one from Kate - but don't let him know that I told you he smiled. I'll never hear the end of that one).

Disney is one thing I don't think will go away for a very, very, very long time. I have a set of Disney Christmas ornaments that were over at my grandparents house my Dad kind of thinks they were around before him or when he was very young. I saw similar ornaments reccently in a catalog.

Disney is one thing I don't think will go away for a very, very, very long time. I have a set of Disney Christmas ornaments that were over at my grandparents house my Dad kind of thinks they were around before him or when he was very young. I saw similar ornaments reccently in a catalog.
