The DC trip sounds like so much fun!!! I went once in high school with the band - don't remember much other than playing on the capitol steps. ;) We've talked about doing a family trip, but want DS (and any future little ones) to be old enough to understand what they are seeing.

Have you ever been to DL? We haven't, and I have no idea what to expect, but I am sooooooo excited!!!! Does this mean you will be doing some more DL designs??? :teeth:

Ok, for all you DDA'ers who are planning trips to DL, if you have questions, ask away! Now you are going to be in my territory! Seriously, I would love to answer any questions you might have.

I wanted to answer your questions about DC

Dh's conference is at the Ritz in Pentagon City (I think that is where he said - I remember thinking - oh good - I can shop) we will be staying through the weekend even though his conference ends on Friday - so he might ask his boss if he can stay at the embassy suites next door instead and them pay for the weekend for us to be in the hotel - I think the price would be the same!!

I would think if we had enough people who wanted rooms we might be able to get some sort of discounted room rate - not sure how many -

how about if we start keeping track of who will be going or who is at least seriously interested - I will be happy to arrange a big night out for us all as well as whatever else we want to do while we are there!!! I definately think a trip to Potomas Mills should be on the list!!!

The dates again are July 14-16 - if everyone starts PMing me that they are interested - I will start the organization

You have more family than you thought in Beaverton Oregon.
I live in Beaverton Oregon.
Small world.

I wondered if you lived anywhere close! That is so cool! Now I have even more reasons to go visiting! However, since you're moving this summer and Karebear1 is talking about moving, I may decide to be depressed!

Amy -- are some of those peanut butter balls coming to my house?! :goodvibes

:teeth:

If I ever finish dipping them! I only got about half of them dipped during Alyssa's nap. They were cracking like crazy, so most of them are double-dipped! But, they're yummy!

Amy :)

Does anyone know anything about tofu? A friend recommended I try feeding it to Alyssa since she's so picky about meat. I'm worried she's not getting enough protein and iron, and since she's too young to eat peanut butter yet, I'm open to suggestions.

Anyway, I bought some today, but I have no idea what to do with it. Can I just cut it up and give it to her or do I have to cook it? Also, how long will it last once the package is opened?

Thanks in advance. Now I must go back to dipping peanut butter balls!

Amy :)

Now that I have seen the Holiday show on the travel channel about Disney. I want to change my trip to christmas time. Christmas is my favorite holiday.

That reminds me of my first pregnancy. I went to the Dr. the day before my due date (according to the ultrasound) and he checked me and said I wasn't ready at all so it would be another week or 2. That night I was up all night with horrible cramps, when I complained in the morning to my DH he timed my "cramps" and figured out I was well into labor. I just kept saying "We're not ready yet. We're supposed to have another week." :rotfl: So he was born on his due date regardless of what anyone else said. He still likes to do his own thing and not listen. Of course, all my others went well over their due date. With my last one, we tried every idea people had to try and get labor started and I still ended up induced. :guilty:

I cannot even remember the due date of my first DS but it ended up being a caesarean since he was full breech. With the next two they 'decided' when they were coming. This was back when 'ya have a c-section, ya have them all that way' :confused3 So with number two child--DD, the Dr sent me home saying she wasnt ready, their way of saying, since you do not have insurance, go home until the next time our anesthesiologist comes to the hospital. Well she decided that she wanted to come at 3 in the am thus making them get an anesthesiolotist in by helicopter. the last DS, decided to come four days before the scheduled c-section. they will make their appearance when they want to

Okay how old were your kids when you took them. I am worried that Olivia might be scared of the characters. Those in costume and not.

Don't know about tofu but how young is too young to eat peanut butter? My kids started eating peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches before they could walk. I would think she would have no problem with peanut butter now.

It is not the problem of eating. The problem is peanut allergies, lots of doctors, allergists, etc. suggest avoiding peanut butter til after the age of 3 due to it causing an allergy to peanuts. I know in the past most kids were eating it from before they could walk but reccently more and more people have been allergic to it and so it is a precaution recommeneded by most doctors.

And I didn't even cook dinner!! Skunka made a ham last night. I spent most of my day in the basement yesterday getting some Christmas stuff out. That's where our gas line is, right next to the Christmas boxes. It turns out we have a slow leak and I got a MONSTER headache last night, directly after one of my worst bloody noses. So I went to bed with out DISing!! Can you believe it?? I still have the headache today!!

Marti,

How awful, hope you are feeling better now. I can relate. I have started getting the worst migraines for about the past 4 years from smells. Cleaning products, strong perfumes, etc. Hope you never go through that again :grouphug:

I didn't think I would be able to get my shirts together in time for our trip next week. This is the busiest time of the year at work, plus I have to buy all the gifts my mom gives out, my own, plan birthday parties for both boys etc. I bought all my shirts month's ago, bought transfer paper when MAC bought, and then haven't had time to get anything else done. I am working from home today, but since hardly no one made it into the office, it's slow. I'm going to try to work on some shirts. I visited the "post your designs here" thread, but didn't find one of the things I am looking for. Both boys LOVE Stitch (Jake still talks about how Stitch crashed the van in DTD). Can anyone think of a design with Stitch with a Christmas theme? (I'm graphics illiterate.) I would be forever grateful!

Anyone have any ideas about a stitch shirt?
