I KNOW!! i WAS such A NON-BELIEVER! I got a free one and WOW! One thing I REALLY like it for is counter tops. I did ALL my tops. They have built up dirt that I didn't even realize! (and I clean my counters ....)

It cleans walls .... maic marker .... receipt tape ink .... If you haven't tried one ... GET ONE! SOOOO worth it!
What is this? I guess I missed the original post.

Good Morning all you DDAers. We here in Virginia woke up to about 4 inches of snow. School is cancelled, of course. It is one of those fluffy snows that lingers on the tree branches. The sun is shining now and everything is white. It's beautiful, just like a Currier and Ives picture. I will try to take a picture today before too much of it starts to melt. I'm sure we will be outside soon sledding and making snowmen.

Deb - I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope has improved today. Keep us posted. BTW, I loved your rendition of the song. At least you are keeping everyone's spirits up. :wizard: :grouphug:

Amy - Congratulations to you, Kevin and Alyssa.:Pinkbounc :bounce: I won't argue with you over the date, but if you have a boy, I think you should name him Nicholas. :teeth:

Hey don't blame it on Alyssa YOU could have kept your legs crossed for a few hours!!! :p :p :p

Baloo! :rotfl2:

Actually, Alyssa wasn't supposed to arrive until April 11th, and I was looking forward to a nice relaxing spring break. The high school kids left the building at 2:30 p.m. on April 2nd and my water broke an hour later. :earseek: I think I was the only person left in the building, but it was a huge relief none of the teenagers witnessed this! When we got to the hospital, they referred to me as "grossly ruptured," and Alyssa arrived at 4:14 a.m. on April 3rd. Apparently she didn't think I needed a nice relaxing spring break! :teeth:

Thanks to everyone who congratulated us! Kevin doesn't post much, but he was glued to the monitor last night reading your kind messages. :goodvibes

Sending happy thoughts to everyone who needs a :grouphug: today.

Amy :)

P.S. Sorry Tammi, but if it's a boy, his name is Matthew. Now don't go gloating Marti! :rotfl: Matthew is Kevin's middle name and it would have been Alyssa's name if she had been a boy too. :teeth:

There's no need to say anything! Obviously you know perfection when you hear it! :teeth:

You were melting the keys last night!! :earseek:

Amy, Kevin and Alyssa - congratulations!

followed by vests, baby Ts etc etc!

Must try the pecan brittle - is that bicarbonate of soda you add?

PD Brendita :wizard:

It is baking soda. It comes in a yellow box from Arm and Hammer here in the states.

snip--I am now an expert on how to get to Celebration Hospital at midnight, where the 3 closest Walgreens are to WDW, and what CM's will do to assist you in getting over food poisoning. Here's hoping that none of you have to call on my expertise! :goodvibes

So sorry to hear that. Heck of a way to spend time at the happiest place on earth... :guilty: Been there, done that, actually salmonela poisioning--ended up in the hospital for 5 days--Desitin became my very best friend :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Heck of a way to lose 10 pounds

Then, I'm sure you'll be okay sans the winter coats!

Whew, I think I am caught up! I can't remember everything from the over 100 pages I had to read today, but glad that everyone is relatively healthy and happy. I wished I had checked this thread while we were at the World, as I could have purchased you all sets of the Xmas Mickey ears! They were very cute - there were lots of other options, too. I bought a headband with Minnie ears with a sequined Santa hat between them!

For all of you going soon - how fabulous everything looks! I am envious - our trip wasn't all we thought it would be, unfortunately. SWA lost my suitcase for about 8 hours, our 1st night's sleigh ride at the WL got rained (no, poured!) out, and promptly after stepping inside the gates for the MVMCP on our 2nd night, DH had to head back to the WL with what turned out to be food poisoning! 6 hours later, we were in the ER for him, where I promptly began exhibiting the same symptoms! Needless to say, we saw more of the inside of our hotel room than I ever thought (or hope to see again!) on a WDW trip. We lost about 3 days - I just have to keep reminding myself that at least it wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, and DH has already agreed that we will have to go back over the holidays soon in the coming years to experience everything properly!

I am now an expert on how to get to Celebration Hospital at midnight, where the 3 closest Walgreens are to WDW, and what CM's will do to assist you in getting over food poisoning. Here's hoping that none of you have to call on my expertise! :goodvibes

(And why, oh why, did you guys go through all the DVC stuff? I had no idea they were running these specials! DH has already agreed we will buy in sometime - now I'm wondering if we can do so sight unseen before Jan! :rotfl: )

I am so sorry about the food poisoning!!! My mom & I got it in October. We ate at Mama Melrose. We did not have any CM that would assist us. They would not even bring a prescription to our room that was delivered to the front desk. We did not have to go to the hospital though. Did you file a claim report with Disney?

Thanks for the kind words from all of you! We're just glad to have it behind us, and I know I'll go back for Xmas again someday!

WeLovetheMouse - I'm sorry to hear about your experience. No, I haven't filed anything with Disney. I did tell DH it would be curious to see if anyone else reported getting sick that day - I know the gentleman in the car seat in front of us ordered the reuben sandwich too! I'll probably get around to it. I will write Disney, though, to let them know about the kindness of Christian, a chef at Le Cellier, who prepared us a "bland" meal in lieu of our CP package meal on 2 hours notice! The front desk at the WL, room service staff, and housekeeping were also very nice to us. They offered to call us cabs, called the hospital for me, made us scrambled eggs and toast at all hours of the day and night, and patiently waited to freshen our room up for us at a time we were feeling up to it every day. I guess if you have to get it, you're likely not to be treated more kindly than on property.

And Baloo - we did see Regis and Kelly on Saturday at the MK. We had to go over that morning to get the final signature (Ariel) on my nieces' princess pillowcases for Xmas. It was PACKED, but they couldn't have ordered up a prettier day if they'd tried. Funny, up until this year, I always thought that the parade was actually live on Xmas day!

DH did nab some long distance shots of Regis and Kelly from atop the train station. I'll post them once they're downloaded off the camera.

So, I'm back :earseek:

It's over. Not sure how it went, but I guess I'll find out sooner or later

The best part of the day, came after :)

I stopped by my mom's and Darby (the 4yo she watches, whom I have mentioned before as Kyle and I have sort of taken her in aside from the lodging :)) says she wants to sing me a few songs since I finished my test. The first went like this:

"Frosty the Snowman was a holly jolly soul
with a corn cake pipe and a button nose, and two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the Snowman, was a holly jolly soul.
with a corn cake pipe and a button nose, and two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the Snowman, was a holly jolly soul..." and then she was stuck :rotfl:

But my FAVORITE....

"Deck the Holly Jolly Olly
Fa la la la la la la la la"

Apparently Holly Jolly is the phrase of the year..... except she's thought I was crazy when I suggested that there's a song called Holly Jolly Christmas.

What do I know? :rotfl:

Rats. I thought it would have been cute w/ my Nicholas & Alyssa, and your Alyssa & Nicholas. Matthew is good too. It was in the running when we had Nicholas, but DH didn't care for it. It sounds like you are one of those who don't "cheat". We didn't either. It's nice to have the anticipation when the Dr. says "It's a _____ !"

I hope you did well, Jennifer.

My kids are the same way, as they get all the verses to different songs mixed up. It is so cute.

Look what we did today!

How cute! We have about .25 inches of snow in a few select patches of the yard. I'm jealous! :rotfl:

(Don't want snow tomorrow, though, so our flight leaves ok :) )

Thought I would add to Tammi's shot!

Also, Jennifer -- I love the new lyrics. Children's versions of songs is another one of the reasons I LOVE my job!
Hope it went well today and you get no snow tomorrow! :goodvibes

Elin - your doggie is so cute! I'm going go driving around Ferry Farm and try to spot your flag!
