I got conflicting info on this

Good enws would be:
Carefully insert the end of a straightened paper clip into the emergency eject hole on the drive tray.

This is for a different model. Maybe older? My old mac used to have an emergency eject hole you could do this with. This goes straight into the computer and there is no "drive" per se.

Airport card thing didn't work either :(

I am headed to bed. Good luck Jennifer, just remember to keep breathing.

Thanks for asking. I'm feeling better every day.

...

I really feel like I took my life back. I have more energy to play with my kids, and I'm enjoying it, too.

I have no regrets about the surgery, and would recommend it to anyone looking into it. I'll even recommend my doctor if you all want to make a trip to good old Utah.

I'm so happy for you, Glynis! What great progress.... especially the emotional aspect! :teeth:

I am out of ideas - or rather my search is

sorry I couldn't help!!

Someone did say they took out the battery and unplugged it - came back several hours later and boom it worked - maybe try again in the morning!

Thanks :) I'm less hysterical now, more numb. I figure damage is done... just gotta go from here.

We'll see if I'm this calm tomorrow when I hear what it's going to take, and tomorrow evening when I'm freaking out about my test.... and Wednesday when I'm freaking out about losing Kyle's residency stuff :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I may be needing more support than you all can even imagine .... I am known to turn into a total basket case every now and then

Jennifer,

You are too sweet to respond to my post when it must feel like your whole world is falling apart. I'm sending pixie dust, prayers and good wishes your way. I wish I could help, but I'm a real computer illiterate, so all I can do is hope for the best.

I lost my final project for one of my classes tonight, too. I spent hours typing it up yesterday, and this evening it was gone. DH couldn't find it either. I had to retype it. Not a fun thing, so I can definitely sympathize. Perhaps our computers are telling us that it's time to stop.

Seriously, though, I hope all will go well for you in the coming days. Good luck with the end of classes and tests, etc. All of us here are pulling for you!

and I really am SO happy for you.

Goodnight all!

Everyone who wasn't on tonight.... sorry I took up so many pages!

Finally, I think all of our decorating is done. Here are the results:

Tree with lights on:
Tree002.jpg

Wow! Wish I'd seen that before we decorated ours... we put our tinsel round in horizontal layers but I love the way you've put the ribbon(?) on at an angle. You did a good job Tammi!

We just bought a new 7ft6 fake treee - and it's definitely bigger in real life than it looked in the shop - it's a monster! It touches the ceiling and takes up most of the dining room... but I managed to get all my decorations on one tree for the first time ever :rotfl: Maybe I'll try and post some pictures later...

Disney Design Addict's Chat Group

Has a certain ring to it... I like it too :goodvibes

Skunka Hunka

Play nice and stop picking on Kate.

Ain't that the truth...

Anyone thinking about buying DVC, Just Do IT! This many people would not be telling you to join if it really wasn't a GREAT idea. Yes, it is a major investment, but one that is well worth it. We all love Disney and we all vacation, you can use your points both on or off property - so you are not locked into going to WDW if for some reason you would want to vacation somewhere else? It is basically budgeting for your accomodations, we stay at Disney's Luxury resorts that go for $300 plus a night for pennies on the dollar AND we own the right to do so for the next 37 years. Our DS Matthew wil be able to take his children and make magical memories of there own with our initial investment back in 2001.

If anyone has questions PM me, I wouldn't mind calling anyone to answer questions either or to put alittle presure on those leary DH
I may have to have you do that for me. I will let you know. Thanks for the offer.

OH MY GOSH!!!! Maybe I don't want you talking to my husband. Ya'll would start talking about Elvis and it would be down hill from there. He even owns his own Elvis costume. No I defenitley don't want you talking to my husband.......just kidding.....if it gets me DVC I am still considering it.

Jennifer, what's the verdict? Did keeping the laptop off overnight help at all? Are you on your way to the Apple Store or counting the minutes until they open? :grouphug: to you!

Kate, even though your research didn't help Jennifer (unless the overnight shut-down worked), thank you so much for doing it and posting here instead of PMing! I have an old Mac PowerBook that I can't get to start up. Nothing majorly important is on there, as I've since moved on to bigger and better Macs, but I would like to boot it up one more time and back up anything I might have missed. This is made even more difficult due to the fact that the CD/DVD drive doesn't work! I'll be sure to give all your key-combination tips a try.

Still nothing.... :confused3

The apple store opens at 10, so I'm leaving in about 25 minutes. It was a pretty rough night last night (this morning)... I'm still not totally comfortable skipping this class but this is really the ONLY time I have to get this done.

I'm so glad this might help you out.... I felt bad hogging the boards all night! :teeth:

Where in New York are you? I'm in Poughkeepsie, and it's still snowing a little here. I don't think it's going to amount to too much, but even if it does, as long as I can get in that limo and off to the airport tomorrow at 3:30 p.m., I DON'T CARE!!

You aren't too far from us. Actually, we've had several times that we thought we were going to have to relocate to the Poughkeepsie area, but we're still hanging on by a thread here in the birthplace of IBM.

Okay, I need Help! I somehow got a virus on my computer. It's SpyAxe. I am trying to download spyware from Microsoft but the virus won't let me. When I click run I get a dialog box that says Windows cannot access specified device path or file. You may not have permission to access item.

I'm not very computer savvy and I'm pulling my hair out! I purchase our computer at BB and purchased the geek squad. When I called them they said that I'm only covered for hardware not software. Grrrr!

Someone please help. I'm using windows XP.
