Hey all, I'm here now too. Was out shopping all day (technically, I'm 'sick') and got a lot done off of my to-do list. I went to AC Moore and got tshirts, 5 for $10. Then Office Depot and got ink and laminating sheets for our itinerary. (Yes, I am that much of a geek). Over to the Dollar Store for goodies for Nicholas' bday party. Do you have any idea how much candy can go into a pinata???!! Plus I did a little Christmas shopping for the kids too. By the way, do they not make just a plain ol' Barbie doll anymore? Whatever happened to My First Barbie? Oh and I also stopped by the bakery and ordered his bday cake, and was pleasantly surprised that they can do a Power Ranger design, complete with little action figures and everything. Things are looking up on my end. Yippee!

Kate - I am so glad you are feeling better. Congrats on lucking out on a new W/D.

Miss Missy - Have a wonderful trip.

Oh, and I also order a new digital video camera today. I have been researching like crazy trying to decide what I wanted. I finally settled on the Sony HC32, miniDV. I also ordered the case, extra battery and UV filter, with 2 day shipping, so I will have it to practice with at the party. Hopefully this will give me enough time to learn how to use it before our trip.

Tammi - Sounds like you have had a very productive day. (sorry you weren't feeling well enough to go to work though )

Are you feeling a little better about the status of everything today? I hope so.

Have fun with your new camcorder. That is one thing we never take with us. Nobody (but the kids) wants to be stuck behind the viewfinder all day. Of course, the kids want to and you get absolutely motion sick from watching anything they tape. I call it short-attention-span theatre.

I am feeling better about things. Right now I am printing out invitations for CRT (from Cinderella) for my kids that Tink will leave in the room, complete with pixie dust! Thanks to Kate for designing them many moons ago.

We haven't taken the video camera in the past, but now that they are so small, I can't see a reason not to, then we can watch our vids year round to get our disney fix!

Hey all!! I am totally better today - although my insides hurt from the exertion on my stomach muscles yesterday!!

I am so excited for Denise and everyone else headed down this week and not at all jealous!! (okay that last part was a lie!!)

My mom bought a mini DV camcorder for our trip in February and I am the one who gets to play with it to learn how to use it. Not that I am complaining. LOL I AM LOVING THIS THING. It is soooo tiny. I can't wait to actually use it at the parks. We got a JCV model and bought a larger battery so as not to run out of juice when we want to use it. LOL

I am not getting e-mail notices from the DIS boards today. Is there something I need to do to correct this or it is a technical problem at the boards?

I thought I was the only one having that problem. I just figured no one wanted to talk to me. J/K. I keep popping in every so often. Shame on me, though, I'm supposed to be finishing up final projects for school. Oh well, isn't that what the midnight hour is for?

About 2500 of my other posts are on the CB - so once upon a time I was one of them!! But this summer things got bad and I left over there - only popping in on occasion to see who's getting into trouble!!! It's so sad that a few very vocal bad eggs seem to ruin it for everyone else!!!! That's what I love about you guys!!!!

remember when I said my in-laws were willing to watch my kids so DH and I could go away for a weekend? No where is grabbing our attention and anywhere we really would want to go is too cold or too expensive - so I think we are going to let my in-laws watch the kids and spend the weekend here in town doing grown up things!

Before J&N we used to play pool, go out to nice dinners, movies - you know grown up things and we thought it might just be fun to do the things we never get to do here

what do you all think?

Kate - If you can't find a place to go I think staying in town and doing fun things would be great. Could you maybe get a hotel room for the weekend and enjoy a mini in town vacation. I would enjoy something like this.

BTW what is the CB board? Does that stand for the community board?

My husband and I had "date weekend" one time. It was enjoyable just to lay around our own house....wear what we wanted to or didn't want to!!! We rented a bunch of movies and believe it or not he went to the grocery store with me!!!! That was actually the highlight of the weekend since he never wants to go to the grocery store with me. Right now being the Holiday season maybe he can help you out with some Christmas shopping.

If you can do it, that sounds great. I like the idea of going to a fancy hotel near home, somewhere where they have a nice restaurant, maybe a spa, etc. I, however, have a hard time forgetting about the kids when I am out with DH. It feels like my right arm is missing. Ok, my right AND left arms. Go for it!

Every time you post - all of your post counts in every post change with it - I think I was 3969 this morning - so I have gone up six - now it should say 3976

wow - you want to post 25 times tonight? Do you think I can do that without Denise? I have never posted that much without her egging me on!!

She is going to miss a lot of milestones - my 4000 (not such a big deal) but also page 1000!!!!!

My goal tonight is to clean out my pm box with all requests!!!!!! I have a ton - and that is even though I quit taking requests!!!! If I successfully do that - I will reopen to requests - okay officially reopen - I don't think that I actually stopped getting them!
