I noticed that Kings Island is having a Winterfest this year and I wondered if any of you that live close by had heard anything about and knew if it would be worth going to.

FLASHBACK! I had forgotten about Winterfest. When our children were little we lived in a little town in Ohio (Jamestown) and had annual passes to Kings Island. We used to LOVE Winterfest. I remember the first time we took DD19... she was only about 4 months old and when the Christmas tree (Christopher???) started talking she started babbling back :goodvibes

Thanks for the memories, uofl

Oh yeah! I LOVED that tree.... :rotfl:

I have a feeling it isn't quite going to be the same winterfest, though. Get ths -- even pass holders have to pay the almost-$20! Man, not back in the 'good old days' :rotfl:

I totally have NEVER said that before. I really am getting old! :rolleyes1 :duck:

What I remember of Winterfest was not worth an additional $20!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Exactly. It was nice to go once or twice for free....

I do think that's why it will be different though. I think people would throw a fit if they paid for nothing. So it may be much "better" this year (although I would love to see the old stuff back!)

Ok, I swore I wouldn't get on here, becuase now I have to leave in 20 minutes for this monday's test.... last one 'till Finals!

Have a good day everyone!

OK, I'm ready to purchase some good software to create my own designs. I found PhotoImpact 10 for $29.95 with no rebates. Is that the program that most of you are using? Is that a good price? Here is the link.

Deb

Did you first get the 30 day free trail to see if you like it? Get that online easy! Then decide to buy.

I used that free one and need to buy it later. But I also use mostly photoshop, which is harder I think to get used to.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements (gift from dh), but I haven't taken the time to do anything with it yet. Is PhotoImpact better? That $29.95 price doesn't sound too bad, though I'd hate for dh to think that I didn't like his gift.

Miss Missy Re: Photo Impact. I was going to download the free trial, but with dial up it was going to take forever and a day to download. If version 10 is what everyone is using I will probably go ahead and buy it. The shirts look great.

Thanks all!

Ya Deb, just buy it, you'll like it! Have fun!

I folded my shirts so that I didn't crease my designs. My shirts have held up really well.

I just noticed that the one we wore on the plane was YOUR design. The destination Disney one. So cool. Thank you! That SW flight will never be the same......

I'd love to see a picture!

I can't believe we go in 24 hours! WOW! Mostly packed. DH is going to SuperTarget for some Ibuprofen and Kids Triaminic, I'm headed to Michaels for some plane stuff and to return the shirts I didn't use. After school, taking the boys to get haircuts. Then a long bath for them while I finish packing and put the suitcases in the car. Pizza for dinner, EARLY bed (leaving the house by 7am- gotta love Atlanta traffic).

WOW~! I'm finally (oops! WE'RE) finally going! :rotfl2:

I hope that your trip is Magical. You have been planning for so long. The kids must be bouncing off the walls today. Take the time to enjoy all that Disney has to offer and watch you kids soak up the magic. After 6 trips with kids I still am amazed at their reactions to Disney. :wizard: :wizard: Take lots of photos so we can see them when you get back.
