Steffy and I saw Lion King on Broadway a few years ago. What an awsome play. When the music starts and they all start walking up on the stage dressed as the animals, I just could not breathe

We saw Cats two years before that, and I of course loving cats, was just in heaven Had to buy a keychain, coffee cup, even a t-shirt with Grizabella on it. Had the CD and played it on the way home. Then I had to buy the video to it

i wish dd would go down for a nap. she kicked and screamed at me when i tried earlier that i just let her get up after me holding her down for about 20 min.

I don't know if you could really call his a nap. We used to put him in his crib every day and he played with his stuffed animals - occasionally falling asleep. Then a few weeks ago, we started trying to transition him to a big bed. Nap time is now - you have to stay in your room and play with your toys, and hopefully climb up in your bed and fall asleep! At first, he fell asleep on the floor a couple times a week, but liked to play up in the bed. Monday we had a breakthrough - he napped in the big bed for the first time!!! There has been no actual napping since then, though. Speaking of which - time to get him out, cook dinner, and head to church for choir!

okay i think the cold front that gave every body the snow has hit us. we proab;;y want get any snow just sleet and very cold weather. it was 44.4 degrees according to the therometer at 0730 it is now 34.2 and still dropping at 1204 CST.

That is coming our way Thurs. night.

Deb--I hope that your dad is doing better!

I just completed the design for my Christmas cards (yeah, I'm a little behind schedule...wish I could say that's a rare occurrence ). The photos are from cutting and decorating the Christmas tree.

Inside (Half--one photo--in each card):

Also for decoration inside (one in each card):

I have some red vellum to print out the greeting for the inside of the card, but I don't have any ideas yet. I'll get the photos back tomorrow, and I hope to start assembling/addressing them tonight and just add the photos tomorrow.

Great card. I just take a picture of my kids in front of the tree and buy those cards that lets you insert the picture.

What a GREAT idea for an advent calendar!

It was one of those "look under the window" type cards. My son loved it, but was disappointed with not being able to do stuff some nights. I thought if I made my own .... I would KNOW and could plan!

I am pretty sure I already did!!! I must say they were pretty yummy!!

We LOVED the Lion King!!! We saw it in Tampa when I was pregnant - DS loved all the music!!!! The only bad part was that he was moving and kicking so much that I had to go find the ladies' room a couple times! He always knew right where to kick!!! We also saw Phantom in Tampa - too awesome!!!!


bear - I hope your pictures turn out this time!!! I know how frustrating that is!!!


Well, I think I am talking to myself, so I'll go check on the laundry. DS is down for naptime (still chatting away, though...)

I so loved reading your trip reports. How wonderful that your kiddies had such a memorable time. I hope that Rees is feeling better.

Let's see, to summarize:

Amy is pregnant.

Jennifer had computer problems right before finals, Kate tried to help (that took up a lot of pages. We were all so concerned), she finally took it to the Apple guys and they were able to fix the problem and save all the data. She left again for another residency trip.

Some people want snow, others of us have had ENOUGH of it.

Kate is on an oreo eating binge and wishes she could get us all Diet Coke ornaments for her tree.

Brenda's dishwasher caught fire, but all is ok. Things with her husband are interesting (I'll let her fill you in, but be prepared for a move to Atlanta or thereabouts this summer)

We're tentatively planning a DDA meet in DC in July.

Did I miss anything important? Someone else can fill in all the blanks.

Glad to have you home. It just wasn't the DDA without you and Kate and Amy and Marti all bickering.
