Poor Nick and Alex. Tammi67's advice has worked for us. When my youngest was only 6 months old he started running 105 temp. We were sent to Children's Hospital because his white blood cell count was crazy. Turns out he had pneumonia, but while we were there the nurses told us to take all his clothes off but his diaper because the clothes hold the heat in.

Prayers and PD for all who are sick!

I am using a transfer that has a lot of white in the background. If I use a dark transfer sheet and put is on a light pink or light blue shirt is the white going to change colors???? Or should I buy a white shirt. I wanted more color shirts. Thanks for you help!!!

Can you believe how ridiculously cold it is today?!!

Amy :)

It's my fault, I'm sorry  I've been complaining for a few days that 65-70 degrees is NOT what I'm supposed to be feeling while listening to Christmas music. I didn't think it would get THIS cold this quickly... but did you see snow?! :goodvibes

Kate - update, please! Give Nick lots of hugs for us! :grouphug: BTW, your autograph book pages are adorable! I have something similar started, but yours are too cute! And what a great idea for the Ziploc bag and clipboard!

Tammi - I wouldn't worry too much about me giving you a run for your post count... I go through spells. If I'm actually doing my school, cleaning my house, spending time with DH, etc I post just once a day with lots of replies. Every now and then if I'm lazy I'll reply in several posts, but I try not to. (although maybe now that we've discovered this whole ranking, thing.... ). It's not too often that I can chat like the other day :goodvibes

Amy
- I just remembered I was supposed to be sending you a list of animal names from the Zoo. I totally forgot, I'm so sorry! I'll work on it :)

You know, I did go outside and yell, "Thanks a lot Jennifer!" :rotfl:

Hey, and take your time on those animal names. I'm about five years (maybe more!) behind on my scrapbooking!

I can understand that! I have tons to catch up on, but never any time! I will still try and do it while I remember :)

Hey, do you get the Z-Mail newsletters? Members can bring 4 friends to FOL this weekend. I don't think we'll be back in town early enough on Saturday (and you have gamenight then, I know) but I thought I'd let you know in case you can take advantage of it Friday or Sunday! No tickets or anything needed, you just have to be present with the group.

With the dark transfer paper, white comes out white. You will be fine on any color.

OMG :earseek: Steffy and I work together and usually go out to lunch. Today she went a little crazy. As we were leaving the restaurant, she sees a car just like hers, same color, same year, everything. The antenna topper is a Mickey head with a Santa Hat. She proceeds to follow the car even going through TWO stop signs. When the car proceeded to sneak thru the one way to go to a fast food place, she thought she should not keep following. "What if she thinks I am stalking her?", she says. Ya think?? Of course how could the girl know that the car following her with a Disney license plate, gold ear antenna topper on the dash and two Mickeys hanging from the rear view mirror, AND the crazy driver waving her was not a stalker????

Thank you thank you thank you!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Would you trip close around the edges or leave square??? On the dark transfer??? Light transfers seem to blend in well on the white shirts.

I feel so bad for all of your kids!!!

Kate, I hope all goes well at the Doctor. Kyle had a realy high fever a couple of months ago (almost 104) but thank goodness it only lasted a day an a half. He loves the taste of medicine, so we kept punching in the Motrin every 6 hours. All he did was sit on Mommy's lap all day and doze in and out (and my little guy does not sit still for a single minute much less sit on my lap all day!!)

Denise, hope the ear surgery went well! Your shirts turned out great (I especially like the one with the names and the characters- I have to have one next year for Kyle!) I can't believe you are leaving soon! You guys are going to have so much fun!! One thing that we did that I am so glad we did, was have the camcorder on when we first walked into MK and turned the corner onto Main Street when Kyle saw the castle for the first time. His whole face lit up and he said "Oh my goodness- great big castle! Go see it! Go see Cinderumbrella!" I still tear up at that when I watch the tape.

he's been in his diaper all morning - right now he is sleeping with a cold rag on him - but then he seems to shiver!! and it doesn't help that he refuses to take any medicine - I know that sounds ridiculous but everything I have given him some he spits right back out - He has never been good with medicine - usually DH and I have to hold him and open his mouth and drop it in his throat - he's a stubborn one (I have no idea where that came from!!! :rolleyes1 )

I am getting us ready and going to the doctor - I am sure once we get there they will see us I won't really be that early

thanks for the pixie dust - I will let you all know what the doctor says -

Kate--you are probably at the doctor now. I hope everything goes well and that the fever breaks very soon. My ds wouldn't/couldn't take medication when he was little. He would either spit it out or throw it up as soon as it went down. Thank goodness he was almost never sick.

I feel so badly for everyone's sick kids/grandchildren. Prayers and pixie dust for health very, very soon. :wizard:

I think someone already did, but won't she be surprised to log on later and see that it passed!

On another note, it is snowing here ( :cold: 1st snow of the year! :cold: ) and I am dying to start putting up the Christmas stuff. DH is firm on the "not-until-after-Thanksgiving" rule- but the snow is making me feel "Christmas-y" What's he going to do- take it all down himself!!

2 of my boys have always resisted meds. The ped told me to put the liquid form in 4-6 oz of juice or cool aid. Only give him the amount of juice that he will finish to be sure that he gets all the meds. I've done this with motrin, ibruprophen, antibiotics etc. The meds have always worked and they didn't even realize that they were taking meds.

With the dark, what you see printed is what you will get on the shirt. Trim if that is the look you would like. On some I trim, others I like the look of the white border.

Do you remember who claimed it?? Seems like I remember Denise saying someone could have it next but I don't remember.....let me go look and see if I can find out who??

I got the email that I need to change my signature as I'm sure many of you did. Now I need to create a much smaller signature. I guess I'll work on that so as not to anger the powers that be.
