Has any one seen clip of Mickey in a soldier's uniform -- like a current one? I found one that has him in the old time tan uniform (WWII), but nothing current like army camouflage or desert camouflage.

10 pages overnight AGAIN

People get up really early, and go shopping for the day

in the UK that's traditionally Jan1 - start of the January sales , but increasingly they start on 26 or 27 December - don't these people realise sales staff need a rest?

DH will be working right up to closing time on 24/12, and probably clear through for 10 or more days up to then. Just hoping his company closes the shop for an extra day after the Bank Holidays so we can go to a pantomime! (Oh yes we will! Oh no we won't!)

Watching Prizzi's Honour last night DH was reminded how he liked the Californian climate and even said we could go there and have a couple of days at DL and a couple at Las Vegas . I pointed out we were all but settled for Vancouver, but tht I'd be happy to only do one week there and fly down to Ca for the second week, but DS(12) said he wanted 2 weeks in Vancouver now, and we could do 2 weeks in Ca in 2007.

Maybe I won't have to wait 10 years for my Disney fix

Anyway I've done my pawnbrokers balls for DH's sweatshirt

The idea is to have Grumpy on the front and the balls on the back. I wondered about wording under them, like "What sort of Mickey Mouse pawnbrokers is this anyway?" - what do you think?

I am about 30 page behind so if there is an update I havent gotten to it yet.

I can't Freaking believe it. We leave in less then 24 hours, my wife goes to see the Dr. and she has broncitas and possible could come down with Pnumonia. What the F to do?

Doctor recomends canceling the trip.

Good Morning DDAs!

WOW!

You all have been the chattiest I've ever seen you over the last few days. I've been reading along, but I just couldn't reply yet. We've been pulling 18 hour days the last couple trying to tie up loose ends moving out, finalizing travel plans, etc. Not to mention that sometime last week I woke up with random back spasms and was practically bedridden for a few days. I can breathe again, though.... thank goodness for drugs (right, Denise?)

So anyway... I kept sort of a running list of things I was going to reply to... but since there were about 30 pages a day for a few days in a row (not to mention our own BOARD with other threads!) I don't think it's quite feasible to do that anymore.... I'd take up an ENTIRE page for one post, or have about the next 1000 talking to myself trying to keep track!

Hope everyone is feeling better (Marti, Denise, everyone with sinus infections, etc). Denise -- hope your three are feeling better VERY soon!

All the new designs are VERY cute... both Disney related and not!

Mac - When you get back, we can't wait to see pictures and hear about your trip! Hope your wife got to feeling better VERY quickly.

Regarding black friday -- EVERY year I get up at 4 or so and shop alllll day, only to come home and say "why do I do this every year?!" Like Amy, I have all my Christmas shopping done except for 3 gifts (that I can think of).... and this is sort of late in the year for me, but we've been so busy! So Kate, I guess I'm a goody two-shoes, too And yet.... I'm sure I"ll be out on the 25th "just to make sure" I don't miss anything spectacular. I totally only ever end up buying stuff that's NOT for Christmas, because of the great deals. Thanks everyone for the links though, what cool websites!

I don't know how often I'll be on for the next little while, but if you don't post TOO terribly much, I might be able to keep up. It just got so stressful trying to keep up with all that's going on in my life here AND the banter on this thread .....

Missed you all, though! I've enjoyed reading everything that's been going on, and thought I'd check in just in case any more of you were worried.... lol.

Congrats Kate on 10,000 (and 11111 ) and Tammi on 11,000. Oh! And all the new tags! Don't forget -- I claimed #20,000 a while back.... so if it creeps up while I'm gone, someone PM the heck out of my mailbox and email because it's MINE!

Oh! Two more things (until I think of more)

That thing that was "dropped on me" a few weeks ago.... decision is made. I have coached some young girls at my old high school for a few years now... they are some of the biggest joys in my LIFE, and this coming season I won't be able to do it. With the traveling, moving x2, illness, etc I realized that I just HAVE to take time for myself and DH. It broke my heart, and we all had a good cryfest, etc.... but it's done, and I KNOW it is the decision that had to be made. Just keep them (and me!) in your thoughts and prayers. There is especially one young lady, Emilee, who I was sort of mentoring.... and she is the most upset. I hate change more than anyone I know, and yet even I remember how much worse it all seemed when I was 16. Pray that I'll be able to keep in touch with them and maybe still be of some help in their lives.... and that the next lady who comes along is good to them.

ALSO, on a brighter note....... 31 days for me!
Ooh! And Christmas decorations are going up this week, darn it, DESPITE what my mother and DH say. Who cares if we're in the middle of all this other stuff? Not this girl! Everything will be better once they're up and that Christmas music is going ALL around me, and not just in my car ....

I'm sure it was very hard to make the decision to stop coaching. Pre-Alyssa, I taught high school, but I was also the yearbook and Key Club advisor for many years. Those kids took it very hard that I was "leaving them." I knew they would rebound and eventually accept their new advisors (especially if I stayed out of it), but it was still very emotional. Sending you happy thoughts!

Yet another reason the DDA's and these boards are magical. I am in the exact same situation (not with the moving and stuff, thank goodness, but with the giving up coaching). I have coached for several years, and just this past weekend, decided I was going to have to give it up. It's a long, boring story, but it has been hard to make that decision! I'm sending prayers and your way that this will be a good process for you!

BTW, add me in to the goody-two-shoes club--I only have about 3 gifts left, too. But, I do like to check out those bargains on Black Friday!

What the heck has gone on in 2 days?!?! I go off and teach a few extra lessons for the Jazz Festival and get ready for the annual Downtown Retail Merchants open house this weekend and you all go nuts! I was afraid it was going to be tomorrow before I got caught up.

And then I found out there are more threads I need to find!!

I am actually an Aggie -- but I root for the Longhorns when they are not playing Texas A&M.

After your school showed such an amazing outpouring of sympathy and love during our tragic bonfire collapse which killed several students, I became a fan right then and there!
