Thanks MinnieMouseMom for sending me the White Sox Mickey. I plan on doing the design during today's nap time so I will post the final outcome later today!

You're welcome!! Can't wait to see it!

Thanks Kate- do you happen to know the brand of dye? I looked in our Micheals the other day and all they had was rit dye.

Dumby - Mickey's birthday is on November 18. Too bad. Does anyone know if they do anything in DL for MM's birthday - we'll be there on that day.

For some reason I was thinking the vivid dye was found at Walmart? Sorry, I can't remember better, Karen.

Rosiejo - we will be at WDW at the same time. I'll look for any bride and groom ears wearing DDA T-shirts!

Hooray :cheer2: I'll :wave2: if I see you :goodvibes
Not long to go until our trip now - and so much to do!

OK< I've bought some T-shirst from Primark and the transfer paper from Partners - BOGOF, so 10 sheets for £14.99 (don't know if that's a bargain, but having seen a "kit" in WHS with one T-shirt (FOTL), three sheets of paper and some naff CDROm with clipart on it - yeah, PAY for clipart? When did that start :rotfl: - at the price of £29.99 :earseek: I thought it wasn't bad. Anyway, going to start of with a T-shirt for DS(5) birthday party then do a T-shirt each for both boys for Christmas - and maybe a pillowcase too! (Can put cute family pics on that as DS(12) won't have to be embarassed by wearing a T_shirt with his mum on it! :rotfl: )

And I've had an idea  :faint: Sorry if this has been suggested already (ehy, there are SOOOO many pages on this thread  :guilty: ) but how about family bandanas for large groups? Obviously your display space is a bit more restricted, but might be more acceptable to stroppy teens who can tie up hair or tie them round their bags etc. so at least you could spot your distinctive colour. (OK now don't ALL pick lime green or it won't work..... :rolleyes1 )

Bandanas could be a great idea!

Let me know how those Primark tees go - that's where I got mine from - I'm not worried about the boys ones but the girls ones are stretchy and I'm not sure how the transfer will hold up...

Thanks Terry and Kate- I really appreciate that info! You're the BEST!!!

Denise those reports are great - have you ever thought of writing a children's book? Maybe you could do one about a trip to Disney and us DDAs could do the images :0)

I actually have a really cute idea for a kids book. I just need to put it on paper and submit it. I like your idea too!

Those are great. I love the colors. What brand/type of dye did you use?

I believe it was a Rainbow Rock classic tie-dye kit.

Thanks.

To Kate or any of the designers out there.....I am trying to make our names (in Disney Font)to put on the backs of our shirts. Now, I can only do it in Word or Adobe Photoshop. The problem that I am having is that I can't seem to make the font any larger that 72, which is not big enough. Do you know of a way that I can increase the size in either of these two programs?

Tammi - in word - there are two ways - either way - I would make your paper landscape -

you can make it a word art and make it as large as you want -

or type the word normal - highlight it - and where you choose the font size - you can type in any number you want - they only give the option up to 72 but you can type in 200 if you want - I would guess you want about 125 - if all else fails - PM me your email and what names you want

Tammi,
Like Kate said, I did it as a Word Art in Microsoft Word and got it pretty big to across the back of our shirts and the clarity was not compromised at all!
Good Luck!
Kristin

My word art won't let me change the colour! Maybe I'll have to do it at work and e-mail it home :rolleyes1 :guilty:

With WordArt, you can change the color by selecting the WordArt image and clicking the "Format WordArt" toolbutton (paint can and paint brush) on the WordArt toolbar that comes up. (That toolbar will only show up when the WordArt image is selected.) You can also right-click the WordArt image and select "Format WordArt".
You can change both the fill color and the line color of the words (including fun Fill Effects like rainbows, etc.!

Just a note with WordArt and the Disney font - I found that some of the clarity was lost if I used a curving WordArt style.

Hope that helps! :)
