It came out great! I might even have to try that.

Denise - what does the SL mean in GF SL Concierge?

Sugar Loaf. GF has 2 concierge areas. the Main building is called RPC (Royal Palm Club) and the Lodge Building Concierge is in the Sugar Loaf Building. SLC was concierge "light" until July of this year meaning no alcohol, cordials, late night desserts. Now it is full concierge at a much cheaper price. The big difference is it isn't in the Main Building and there are no lagoon views or castle views. Small sacrifice for the food, service, and planning assistance in my opinion.

Sounds worth it. And with you having 5 in your party, it is probably more economical to do that instead of getting 2 reg. rooms or a 2 br villa. I can't believe how close all of our Christmas trips are getting!!

It was! And we got a good AAA rate (almost cost us the trip...) which was cheaper than the regular GV rate. There were no AAA rates available for GV or LV when we booked. So I figure we got a really great deal!

Ok, Deb. Spill the beans. What's next?

Nick is going to be the head in a fortune tellers ball. It will be the same concept at the costume my dh wore to a party this year. We called it dinner.
This was my dh:

I plan to do the black monster part as a brightly colored fortune teller and put Nick's head in a clear plastic globe (with airholes). I may put an Einstein type wig on him.

My little one Colby is going to be a Christmas Tree. I'm going to make the costume similar to the Bee Hive, only getting wider toward the bottom. I'll get some battery operated christmas lights and some small ornaments to finish it off. I'v always wanted to do Christmas style costumes, but never have. We have a Santa Costume so maybe dh can go as Santa.
This is the Beehive Costume:

I haven't been struck with the perfect idea for my middle son yet, but I've still got plenty of time. lol

It has gotten really cold here and we had snow yesterday though it is gone now so I need to get to the thrift store today to get a black trench coat that I can add gauze to to keep Hunter warm tomorrow night. His costume just had black pants and a black turtleneck which won't be warm enough.

I have a black winter coat that I can put under the bee hive for Colby and The shirt for Nick's wolfman costume is large enough that I can put layers under it.

I took pictures of each step as I went.. that was pretty neat.

After I sprayed the Mickey

After I sprayed the outside yes I used the green

Peeled off and complete

What do you think? And be honest!!
I think they look great. what did you use to make the white in the micky head. I love the step by step pictures.

Sorry to hear every body is feeling sick.
I'm sick at heart as my Astros lost the world series last night to the chiago white sox. But hey at least they made it to the world series. maybe next year.

I used a mixture of flour and water... just mixed them together to get a mustard type texture. Poured them in a squirt bottle and then squeezed it out on the shirt.

I did one with the lime green as the main color and it just didn't look good... the lime green was way too light and you can barely make out the white design behind it.

Thanks! I may consider trying it DH might consider wearing this. he definately would not consider wearing the tye dye.

I might try the swirls - I KNOW DH and both DS would not go for tie die. OK, I know its likely to be 10 years before we go but you can't start planning too early

Anyway, a friend is going with her son and mother next Easter and I might make a surprise package for them to add a little pixie dust! (not really just practising :rolleyes1 )

That is so weird.. my DH would not wear the tye dye also... but he loved this design.

Denise, I thought maybe you chose the Sugar Loaf Concierge because it sounds more Christmasy. :teeth:

Yeah, that's IT! :rotfl:

my3princes,
you are very crafty. We are hoping to go to MNSSP next year while we are there. my Red head DD will be Ariel no need for the wig LOL. Trying to think of costumes for DH, Myself and possibly my mom

So we decided to do one stitch tie dye shirt. I think it turned out pretty good, although I don't think non-Disney nuts would know what it is. But to me and most of you can probably figure out it is stitch.
