Denise it looks BEAUTIFUL!!!
Hmmm....how old are you? I seriously think we may have been separated at birth (well....except for the creativity gene, which I don't possess) but wait till you see what's hanging over our fireplace :rotfl: . Love it, btw.

Your tins look fabulous! How long did it take you to do that?

I really like the color of your family room. I have to repaint the entire inside of our house and it looks like just the color I was looking for. Wanna share the name of it?

I'll check the paint in the basement tomorrow for you. So do you have a LSU Daniel Moore print? That one is the one he did in 92 when we one the National Championship. Also the year I graduated from Bama. You better not lose those next 2 games. Auburn cannot go to the SEC Championship!

ETA: as far as the tins, last year I got smart when I took them down. I take pictures of the house each year so I can remember where to put all the stuff (I have about 20 boxes of Christmas decorations). I numbered each tin in the order they were with a sharpie on the bottom. This year I just put them in order, got up top and stuck them up there. It only took about 45 minutes (compared to a few hours last year!).

Gosh, I have 144 posts on this thread and I thought I was mainly a lurker.

That's neat! I never knew you could do that.

I would not consider you a lurker - neither does the TF - I just saw your new tag

I can see everyone has been quite busy.

Brendita-Did you notice the hidden Mickey in your gator photo?
Triplefigs-your house looks awesome, although to me it is still to early to deocrate even though the one radio station has been playing Christmas music since before Halloween.

No, we have this one:
FBCentennialWeb.jpg

It's by Jack Jaubert. This print belonged to DH's grandfather, who played football and was a team captain for LSU. This particular print is significant to DH's Grandpa specifically, but I'm ashamed to admit I can't remember exactly what it is. I think he was #80 (which is front and center) and maybe his team went to the orange bowl. It's also sort of a history of LSU.
We inherited it when Grandpa died. It's very special to us. I just thought it was funny that we both had college football prints above our fireplaces. I think most wives would be like no way, while I (and I'm guessing you too) was trying to find the most visible place for it! We'll decorate after Thanksgiving and I'm hoping to have the room painted before we decorate. I'll post a pic then.

Oh, and I forgot to tell you I love the toile. It's very Christmassy looking, but I'm sure you did that on purpose!

I hope we don't lose these last two games, but LSU has a history of choking when it really counts. Remember all those times we would have won the west if we could only beat Alabama (or Auburn). OR, we tied one of ya'll for the west but ya'll won the tiebreaker and went to Atlanta. If it can't be us, I want it to be ya'll. Just NOT Auburn!

Denise,

The house looks great! Did you have christmas music one? LOL I Can't decorate without it lol!

Lisa,

I tried to fix it for you. There are 3 in my bucket-link below for you to look at, one with no frame.

I know! My tag is sooo fitting!! Amy should be on here thanking the Tag Fairy because the misspelling in my other tag (that was replaced) was driving her "bezerk" :rotfl: Hmmm...unless Amy is the TF :scratchin

Now she thinks the misspelling in my other tag (no, not GEAUX) is glaringly obvious, so Tag Fairy if you're still flitting about this thread, will you please put Amy out of her misery and correct withdrawal? (Oh and I know you don't take requests, but if you haven't met your tagging quota for the week, my Geaux Tigers would look really cool in purple) :)

I love all of the new tags. It's nice that all of these people who love this thread now have a tag from it :goodvibes I really love your photoIMPACT one. How perfect for you!

As for lurker, I didn't think I posted nearly that much. Must have been all that football talk.

Oh, and a big ROLL TIDE!!!!!! Beat Auburn!!

Well we're not the only ones to have a thread closed reccently. The thread about free and cheap things to do in Walt Disney World was also shut done. In it the original poster asked for ideas of cheap and free things for a family to do on a trip for their daughter's dance club.

Lots of people decided to help out and make the family have a more magical trip bysending items to help the family and make their trip better. It got shut down since it was considered soliciting, even though the original poster or no one else ever asked for anything but ideas.

I guess we gotta all watch what we say and do.

I have used iron on stuff to attach other fabric to a blanket to hold it before I sewed it. It ironed ok and would have probably stayed attached but I still sewed it. I don't think the t-shirt transfers would work all that well unless it is really smooth non-pily fleece almost like a sweatshirt. But than again I could be wrong. Someone will have to try it.

Or you could always print it onto other fabric and then sew it fast to the fleece. Hmm. ideas, ideas.

OK ... it seems part of the problem may be the originals I have been working off of. They are getting pixelated.

I have this saved to my PC. Does anyone have an idea where the original graphics may have come from???????

I really want to use this design. Could someone take out the August 2005 and add February 2006. PLEEAASSE

Thanks so much

Denise your house looks fantastic. We are in the process of trying to find a house to buy. We sold our house of 17 years and now we are renting one and all my Xmas stuff is in storage. This year Christmas is not going to be too decorated so thanks for sharing yours with us. I just pray we will find a house to buy real soon so I can put down roots again.

Hey Cool! I'm #3! :goodvibes

Denise, your home is gorgeous. I love the lighting in the kitchen and the toile walls. I can't believe you got all that work done in 8 hours! Great work, really beautiful. I hope you and the kids get back to 100% asap.

Triplefigs I love your house! My DH would have a fit is a) I decorated this early and b) I put up that much decoration! I might show him the pics and see if I can convert him. I want to get a different tree this year and move the fibreoptic one into the dining room but as we had the one that looked like a toilet brish for 12 years and this one is only 5 years old I think its unlikely :rotfl2:

I collect Christmas tins. I have over 50 so far
and you take them down every year? Way too much work for me!!

Denise - If only I'd have known you last year.... my mother and I got rid of SO many tins. She used to bake 24/7 for the entire months of November and December, and give tins to everyone I think she has ever met. :rotfl2: She had stocked up on so many tins it was rediculous. Some were the typical plastic junky ones (for those people that she SERIOUSLY had hardly met and yet somehow felt like making a holiday tin for :confused3 :) ) but others were absolutely beautiful!

Now, since she homeschools my sister, works with the youth group, etc etc etc she and I have to pull a marathon just to make enough goodies for us to munch on.... still my favorite Christmasy day though, aside from decorating

But we seriously gave away so many! :( I would love t see your collection... some of the tins can be so neat!
