I have been with this thread since page 1. I haven't contributed alot in the T-shirt design area, but I feel like I know everyone on here personally. I posted this on the
MNSSHP Costume thread, but if you aren't going to MNSSHP you wouldn't see it so I thought I'd show off my halloween costume designs here.
Ok, I admit it I am a Halloween junkie. I love to create Halloween costumes. Last weekend we went to our favorite campground for a Halloween Themed weekend. They have camper to camper trick or treating and a dance complete with costume contests for adults and children. They have prizes for the top 3 adults and the top 3 kids. My costumes won 4 out of 6 prizes this year. I thought that I would share them.
This is my dh, his costume won 1st prize for adults. I got the idea online and changed it to use items that I already had. The costume is 8 ft tall and his head is on the platter. He is standing up. When asked what he was he replied "dinner"
This is another adult costume that I made, a friend came up with it a few years ago and my mother is wearing it. It is called short man. This costume did not win.
For the kids costumes:
1st place was my niece. We got this idea although we changed it a lot, off family fun's web site. She is a flower planter.
2nd place was my middle son Hunter. He was a Zombie/Goul in a wooden casket. We had the casket from a mummy costume that we made a couple of years ago. The Zombie/Goul we combined ideas from different costumes that we have seen and added some flashing green sunglasses to the mask and a blacklight in the coffin made him glow.
3rd prize went to my youngest son Colby. He was a bee hive. I made this costume when my oldest son was Colby's age. I must say that is is completely original and I have never seen another bee hive anywhere.
My oldest son Nick didn't win a prize, but I love the costume. It was his idea. I had suggested a warewolf (used some ideas from the big bad wolf costume on family fun) but he wanted to be a disco warewolf. I found the clothes at the salvation army and added the peace sign necklace. I hot glued a glow stick on it to make it stand out and we added a spikey flashing bracelet. This costume fits his personality so well and he had a great time wearing it.
I went as a basket of dirty laundry, but I don't have any pictures to share yet, My dsil took a couple, but she didn't use a digital camera.
I hope you all enjoy the costumes as much as we do.
