Wow being without power for 6 days I could only check email very sporadically when I found a friend willing to put up with us for a little while to escape the heat. It is amazing how many pages this has grown by. Anyway, Power is on! The rest of the damage is nothing when I see the horrible pictures on thenews. We were so lucky. I did not really actually see the damage much before because no TV and it really hit me how lucky we all are here in So Fla. Prayers to everyone out there affected by this hurricane.

how do you explain that to a 4 year old - how do tell her she can't go home or see her toys - how does she ever recover from that - I just think about trying to explain something like this to Julia and I just can't - how do I explain to her that it is possible that a storm could come and take everything we have? she has seen the news and now she is petrified that a "tomato" (not too good at saying tornado yet) is going to come - which is what we were told to prepare for in Katrina's aftermath - she is ready to move into our basement!

I can't imagine how to do that either. My girls are terrified of lightening because our house got struck by lightening in April. We were lucky that the wiring burned inside the walls but it did not catch on fire. My 7 year old has nightmares of our house burning down all of the time. I try to tell her that it is not going to happen but if it did God would take care of us. We were glad that hurricanes do not produce lightening for her sake because this is the 3rd to come by this year. The power this far inland is amazing & terrifying. I just hope that some good things will come out of this to bless all of the people that are suffering.

on her website she posted at 7:30 on Monday night - so it appears that she is okay

She lives near my grandmother, and they got no damage there at all from the Hurricane. just lots of rain and tree limbs. Nothing too serious, thank goodness!

I have created another DDA!! she is so funny - she picks the character I make the ornament - but she is very critical - I prefer when she doesn't help b/c then I can say "Who's that?" and if she knows who the ornament is - I know it's a good one!!

that was kanga - I had no luck finding any way to make her look like her - Julia didn't get that one either! but you requested her so I tried my best!

I can try on the dumbo truck - but none looked right - I will check again!!
