Kevin - Love the Campfire one. Saved it in the folder for my next trip to FW.

Triple Figs - I was going to do a Jiminy Cricket this weekend. He is one of my favorites. :love1: & what do you know, like Magic :wizard: it appears and all I have to do is add my name. I love this thread. :grouphug:
Thanks to the both of you.

My gang is to messy for white shirts. :rotfl2:
I used colored & tye dye shirts.
So I only used the dark.

Thanks so much. Do you think the dark iron transfers would work on white? I'm planning on cutting off the extra paper. Very interested in your opinion.

Ok so I'm just nosey - but do you and Kate know each other in "real life"??
:wave2:

Amy and I do know each other IRL - but only b/c we met on the DIS

I saw her in the Disney Store one day and couldn't figure out how I knew her - then it clicked who she was - but also confirmed that I had a DisBoard addiction since I was recognizing people from their signatures!! I didn't say anything but sent her a PM later and we started chatting and actually just met last week!!!

I haven't emt Kevin yet! Their little girl is adorable!! :goodvibes

Wow Triplefigs - that frame looks just like leather!

Nice one :cheer2:

Thanks! I was really pleased with how it turned out. If you have a better idea for the title, let me know. I'm not very happy with 'roarring good time'.

Yes because it is basically a sheet of plastic film that you iron onto the shirt BUT...some designs (like most of the ones I did) would be hard to cut around completely. The designs that have solid backgrounds with borders would be easiest to cut out. Well thats my understanding anyways. I actually only used light transfer for my white ts and the one dark transfer I did was on a black T.

I have a question...i just got Avery transfer paper for dark shirts (not cheap stuff! :sad2: ) It says for use on 100% cotton shirts...can you use this on 50/50 cotton/poly blend? Anyone tried that? Or do I need to go get more shirts in all cotton? :guilty:

I am trying my first shirts today..hopefully they will come out nice & I will post a picture.

I only used 100% cotton. The light transfer says cotton or cotton blend so if the dark says 100% cotton I don't think I'd try the blended T's.

Gina (Mommyof2OH)-

Could I pretty please have a USM Golden Eagles like the Louisville design AND an Atlanta Braves design? My DH and Dboys would love them! I have the GA Dawgs already. Thanks!! :sunny:

I got spray on glitter near the transfer paper at Hobby Lobby. I don't remember the brand. I'm at work so I can't check. I know some didn't say they were permanent. It was really easy to use. Remember to spray from a distance, the first time I sprayed to close and it looked gloppy. I dabbed the excess off with a paper towel. Good luck!

Thanks lovesdumdo! Figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Are all the dark transfer papers fo only 100% cotton? If so I'll return the avery & get something else...I knew I was getting into it when I started reading this thread!! :rotfl:

I was worried about this, too, when I bought the Avery transfers. On the outside of the package it says for 100% cotton, but inside on the tips sheet it says "any color cotton or poly/cotton blend fabric", so 50/50 shirts should be fine. I haven't actually used it yet, though. It also says to not use a glass surface to iron on. Some had suggested using a glass top stove, so maybe it is okay with some of the brands, but I am not going to chance it with Avery. If anyone has any actual experience with either of these, please respond! :)

loridee-check out the finished T's thread and you can see some white T's done with "dark" transfers. You can see the white around the design.

Completed T's thread

I used Avery for my white t's and some "off" brand for the dark. I don't remember what the dark transfer I used said as to fabric content.

I did read that on Avery not to use glass but after reading that someone else had success using their stovetop I decided to use mine too as the last time I used my butcher block kitchen island but that was a bit too high. I didn't have any problems using my stovetop.

OK - with the kids getting back to school you'd think I'd have more time instead of less but the joys of PTO mean I'm never around lately. Anyways I started this design but since I now have a mac and I'm having trouble finding mac fonts to use Anyone want to help me?? I started a new thread (hope that was the right thing Baloo?)
Thanks

Sharon

Is anyone else seeing only red "x"s again on this thread? Or is it just me??

BTW - Midnite you've started something. My boys are now arguing over who wears the Mission mickey and who wears the Star Wars 3-d designs (we don't have enough days for them each to wear both with everything else they've picked).

Since you started it wanna finish it?? :guilty:

I was waiting for you to respond first. You know I was dying to brag last week that I met the famous (or is it infamous :teeth: ) Julia and Nick's Mom!

And just so everybody knows...Kate's kids are even cuter in person than they are in the pictures she's posted. Julia has the best "sassy" strut I've ever seen and Nick is even cute when he's pushing Alyssa away from the slide!

Amy :)
