I'm not really computer savvy, but if you give me "computers for dummies" instructions I could try. I have them on my digital camera, so if all else fails, I could email them to you and have you post them. I'd love for you all to see the shirts I made.

If you email them to me, I'll post them for you. What you do is upload them to a picuture website (most of us use Photobucket and it's free). Then copy the
email]

Okay I have transfer paper for light colored shirts. I have white shirts. Now I read something about the tissue paper or some type of paper to use over the top of the transfer when ironing. I did not get anything with my transfer paper. Is this what peels off the back of the paper after you iron it on. If so should I keep this in case I have to re-iron it. I have been reading this thread from the beginning and love all the designs. We are not going until october 2006 but I want a disney shirt NOW. LOL

Thanks for the help.

I believe the tissue paper is for the transfer paper for dark shirts. Read, and then reread, the instructions that came with your paper, and then follow them to a T, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks Tammie67. I was getting worried there for a minute. My instructions does not say to reverse the image but I am sure I need to. I got this paper off of ebay and the instructions that came with it look real similar to what J&Ns mom posted except for mentioning to reverse the image. I am going to reverse the first one and see what happens. :worried: :worried: :worried:

I don't mean to but in, but I just found this thread today and have really enjoyed the designs of all your shirts. I wish I could be that creative. Great job.

Welcome! Be careful, you might become a Disney Design Addict! :goodvibes

Kate, are you going to invite your mom over for our game night? ;)

Amy :)

Only if you promise to wear the new shirt I just posted!! :rotfl:

Tammi - I came across those one day searching for clipart and for the life of me I have no idea what my search criteria was - today I knew it would be perfect for a Vegas design and searched for Mickey ****s

ETA: I wasn't sure that would pass the sensors

I just returned from DL where I picked myself up a Mickey antenna topper with sparkly gold ears. It makes me so happy every time I get in my car! :earsgirl:

I wanted to get more, but DH says I only have one car and it only has one antenna. But look how many holidays there are, and I could change them around. Oh well, something to start collecting each time I go. I REALLY like the Goofy one.
::yes:: We have a basket of them under our entry-way bench. Every now and then DD decides it's time to change and goes digging for a new one :) We have the golden Mickey ears right now, too, but come Oct. 1, we have to decide between ghost Mickey and pumpkin Mickey....or the pirate! Ack! Decisions!

Will Zazzle make the shirts? Would they last longer?

I just had to throw in... I just ordered a shirt from zazzle last week... and got it nice and fast... the shirt quality is great... have already washed the shirt to get it ready to put a custom design on the front.. and it washes well.. no faiding or cracking yet :cheer2: (washed inside out).... if anyone has any ??'s feel free to ask... also, i have a free shipping code i'll give to someone if anyone wants to order.

We're over in Tampa and in the parks about every other weekend :)
If we see anyone in their shirts, we'll be sure to stop and say "hello!"

Our favorite shirts are these:

So if you see us walking around, make sure you say "Hi!"

How is the print? Is it like an iron on? Or more like what you would find on a store bought shirt?

I'm looking for a less plastic feeling.. and also looking for it to wear better after washings

Is it like screen printed on the shirt?

Hehe... last one..

On a scale of 1-10 with the iron ons being a 5...

How is it?
Seriously - where do we all live? Is there anywhere we could all reasonably get to for a girls weekend? Or we could all just go to Vegas!! Now those would be fun shirts to design!!!
From Virginia here.. would love to get together with everyone!!! Woo Hoo Vegas and Disney what a great time!!!!

Kate, you naughty girl!!! That picture is hysterical!!!!!!!!!! I am in NY.

These are from Glynis Neves. Kate made the one design for her. The rest are using the technique from Family Fun magazine. I think they look great and way easier than tie dye! going to try this with my trio and use red and green paint for Christmas!

I'm more of a lurker on this board -- love reading all ya'll's ideas! -- but I have to tell you that I'm in the middle of doing the tie-dye mickey head shirts for our family trip (we leave Monday). I can't wait to see how they turn out!! Thanks for the idea and instructions!

it's very good.... very similar to a store bought... the only comment that DH has was that it is off centered.. which is probably my fault since you can move the images and I didn't move mine at all. I'd say it's probably a 8 or 9.. it did fade a bit when i "prewashed" it inside out... but it's just slight fading.. I added my own iron-on transfer to it tonight... turned out good... I'm going to take pics of all my shirts tomorrow and I'll see if i can't get them on here so everyone can see. Still trying to find somewhere where I can buy tank-tops and t-shirts for cheap so I can make some more designs :) :smooth:
