Disney Debit Card questions

That's because you hit debit instead of credit. Debit cards are to be used as a credit card to earn points. I don't ever enter my pin for purchases. Can't earn points on debit card purchases.

Swipe card, hit credit or if nothing prompts tell the cashier it's credit or hit the red cancel (cancel for credit) button if it asks for your pin and then sign (or not, sometimes no signature required for under a certain amount). Then you've just earned rewards.

I've had my debit card since they came out, and it's worth it to me simply because it makes me smile so big every time I look at it. The rest is gravy. But the real value for me is, as a pp said, in the perks. Last trip, DS and I got to do the private photo thing at Epcot, and that right there made the entire fee worth it, and then some. So neat to have characters to yourself for a few minutes, and the free photo made it even better!! Was an awesome experience. And then the 15% off my one big Emporium purchase really made it worth it. Love that card!!

thanks for the extra info! I just signed up last week and had my mom sign up so that added another $25 disney dollars so I have $50 disney dollars as of right now one week into it. Plus the discount on souvies and the private character meet and greet it has already paid its self off! Plus I plan on putting money away on that acct for my trip. So I def think its worth it!
