"Disney Days"

My wife and I started several years ago calling certain days a "Disney Day". A "Disney Day" does not mean we will be at Disney or will be leaving for Disney that day, but is a day that just looks like a "Disney Day". What does a "Disney Day" look like and what makes a day a "Disney Day"? Well, it starts out just when the sun is breaking and the sky is a light pink/blue, clear and there is little crispness in the air. The birds are beginning to stir and make noise. Once the sun gets all the way up, the sky is clear blue with no clouds. Those are the type days that remind us of being at Disney and wishing we were there.

I have a lot of late high school and early college kids that work at the store. When they get aggravated or start bickering, instead of fussing I ask, "Are we having a Disney Day?" They think it is so ridiculous that they smile and start kidding with me.

My sister and I have a similar thing we say. My Grandmother used to take us to her lake house when we were younger and now we say it's a XXXX(name of town) morning. It just has to feel right and smell right. We can tell each other it feels like a XXXX morning and no one else understands but we do.

That's so funny...I think that about certain days, when it's sunny and warm. I think, this feels like Florida and WDW. This morning was the first sunny day we've had in 2 weeks solid, and so to me, it made me feel like I was in Disney. I think that's so funny that other people think that and this post appeared today after I thought it!!

Any day that is partly cloudy, about 75°F, with a slight breeze reminds me of our days at Disney in (Nov.)1999.

Yes - We have "Disney Days" also - If the day is clear & bright & we have no particular responsibilities & can have a family activity - that is like a Disney Day for us. For some reason, bike rides along the canal here remind me of Disney.......I guess it's from all those bike rides in FW.

not too long ago I called DS outside after I first stepped out - told him to smell the air
It reminded me of those days when stepping out on our balcony when we cruised the Disney Magic
