I am looking into getting the Disney DDR for the wii. Do your kids (6-10) like this? And is there any difference to the game with the two mats included for $100 and buying them separately at $30 for the game and $20 for each mat? At those prices (on amazon) it would be a no brainer to get them separately unless there is something I am missing about the set. :confused3

I have this game and got it when it first came out and it was not $100 with the two dance pads... it was $70.... so I dont know how it got so high. My DNiece 9 loves to play and my DNiece 6 does alright as long as we turn off the hand motions (which is done easily). My sister and I LOVE it tho. We played everyday when I first got it she was always over. We probably still would but I get tired now after two songs since I prego. Im looking to start playing again after lil one is born.
Hope this helps!:goodvibes

After a lot of hard searching, I got this for my fiance's niece for Christmas, we ended up playing along. We (me, fiance, and her sister) had fun, as did her niece (5) and nephew (6), apparently they still play, so take that as you will.

At the end of the day, if they enjoy it even a little, the other DDR games are all fairly cheap, so if they tire of the Disney songs, you can update them with more popular fare.

We got this about a year ago and my son loves it. He plays it all the time. I recommend!

Santa :santa:brought this to my dd6 and dd8 for Christmas. We haven't really enjoyed playing it too much, partially because they aren't the most coordinated little princesses but also because we couldn't ever figure out the menus. My husband who plays lots of video games doesn't like this one (he is anti dancing period, and especially under this kind of pressure) so he hasn't spent the time learning the setup like he has done for our other games. Maybe I'll take it out this weekend and give it another try.

Like someone said earlier, we got it much cheaper at Christmas, I think around $65.

Got it for DD 12yrs then, 13yrs now, for Christmas. She is a Disney freak and thinks it is ok, but she doesn't like how most of the songs are changed from the original. Wasn't planning on getting it but I found it on clearance in Target for around $43.

We have DDR for the wii, but not the disney version. My dds are 8& 10 and we love it. It came with 1 mat and bought the other separately and they look exactly the same and work great. It's fun and a good workout as well.

I, too was on the search for a great Dance Dance Revolution deal, until I found the Wii game "Just Dance" for $29 bucks! It doesn't require the mats, yet still is great fun! If you are looking for Disney songs, this game is not for you. If you are looking for dancing fun at a budget price, this game is for you!

Good Luck!

We bought it a couple of years ago for the kids for Christmas. They opened the box and played the game once or twice and haven't touched it since. Every time I see that game box sitting there unused I cringe because DD who was 11 at the time, really wanted it badly. I think it only has one mat, but I'm not even sure. We paid $69 at Target.
