Hi
i am hoping to go on a Disney cruise but would like to see the DVD before booking. Does anyone know how i can get one in the UK- there isn't anything on the UK disney site about it and the US site doesn't send to UK and it wouldn't play on my machine anyway.
Thanks for your help
Ruth

Hi Ruth,
I had the same problem but managed to buy one off ebay. They do come up from time to time and it played fine on my machine. Ive since resold it as we had to cancel our cruise but hope this idea helps Just type in Disney cruise as the search...best to go to ebay.com rather than the uk site. Best wishes, Rachael :Pinkbounc

These messages often pop up on these boards so when go to WDW in a few weeks I will try and pick several of these DVDs up for DIS boarders in the UK.

The DVD will play in the UK as it is Region Free. It's worthwhile watching and may answer some of your questions. However, there is no photo, message, DVD, video, etc that will compare with the real thing.

Out of 100 UK DCL cruisers I imagine that less than 5 saw the DVD first!!

I'm also interested in seeing the DVD, but as I'm also in Florida soon, it'd probably be easier for me to pick one up myself. Where should I go to get one? Are there stands promoting the cruises in the parks somewhere like the DVC ones?

Thanks David- there seems to be gap in the market here! best wishes Ruth

We are going on a Disney Cruise next Feb - would just like to say it is generally much cheaper to book separately on the internet, than through UK tour operators.
:sunny:

I agree with the above post - we have always booked direct with Disney Cruise Line in USA but if you have the time you can make further savings elsewhere with other travel agents in the States as well.

We had a great price from Dreams Unlimited - and I'm not just saying that because they sponsor this board !!!

They were £200 cheaper than the nearest quote and the agents are really helpful.

I have booked it with Dream Unlimited as they were very helpful. As we are going to 3 days Disney Wonder Cruise in April 06

About two weeks ago I email Dream Unlimited for free dvd cos on internet
refused to accept UK so only USA.

And got quickly response from Dream Unlimited that they will get one for me but i have to wait about 8 weeks to get it.

Steve Rob asked this but no one answered, so I'll ask again!

7 weeks and 6 days!! :cool1:

Hi
I had no rpoblems getting one of the DVD's for the Cruise Planning. My DVD player will only allow me to watch the real thing, no copies, so I knew that I had to have a UK version. I e-mailed the Cruise Line via their web site and asked if they could send me a planning DVD suitable for use in the UK. About 2 weeks later I received an envelope from Buena Vista with a planning guide and the DVD and it plays no problem.
I had heard all sorts of stories of them taking weeks to arrive but getting mine was no bother, The booklet also includes some stickers of Aerial et al to put on the pages.
We are booked on the Wonder for 4 days next November and booked it via Virgin. We our FVC discount it was a good saving.
I have never seen stands in the parks though for the Cruise Line only for the DVC.

There are DCL desks in the moderate & deluxe resorts.

We never saw the dvd, although i did watch my brothers video & thats what made us want to go!! :teeth:
2 cruises later & another 2 planned i am now addicted!!

Thanks Clare & Tracey :)

I'm staying at POR so should be able to find it, if not will have a good excuse to take a trip to the deluxes!! :teeth:

I emailed the DCL web site - they replied and asked for my postal address and then about 3 weeks later we received the DVD in the post.

I booked the cruise (3 day next June) with them direct - booked online - and since changed the date, the dinner seating and the coach arrangements by phoning the number provided on my booking. They have been really helpful.

Now counting the days!!

Hi Traceycooper

Blimey you have booked another 2 cruises.

What make you like to go back again on cruise?

Can you tell me about it?

I booked my first time as 3 days cruise and wonder if it is not enough ?? :confused3

Hi Deborah, be warned you will too be like me & become a DCL obsessed fan!!! :goodvibes

We did the 4 night first & loved it, so we booked the 7 night last year & it was fantastic, i would do a 14 night back to back if i could afford it!!

What makes me want to go back??
Where do i start - the pampering, the amazing food & service, the wonderful ports, Castaway cay, the awesome shows, the beautiful decor & cabins, the godsend kids club (with pagers - bliss), total relaxation, making new friends, planning it! the sail away party when the horn blows 'when you wish upon a star', the fireworks on pirates night, the pools, did i mention the fantastic food??? oh and free room service too.

Thats just off the top of my head if i sit & think about it i'm sure i could come up with a lot more :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:
