hello Everyone,
This holiday is creeping up so so quickly so i am trying to add all the extra touches to it and i am triple double checking about Visa's for St Johns/St Thomas and St Martins??
I have been told as its a closed Circuit cruise all i will need is my passport if i am actually getting off at port is this correct??? or do i really need to ring somewhere and find out???
Im stressing about it... i all have my ESTA for the USA so im all good for that just these 3 stops are causing my mind grief...lol
Any help would be greatly appreciated..:-)

82 days to go...i will start a PTR soon...hehehe

We are visiting the same ports and have been told no visa's are required. I am a double and triple checker too. I drive myself crazy at times.

I am also visiting those stops and was researching the exact same thing about a week ago. Please realise that I'm no expert, but this is the conclusions I came to.

St Thomas and St John are part of the US Virgin Islands and are therefore territory of the United States. As long as you have the right paperwork to get into the US, I believe that you have the right paperwork for these Islands.

St Martin/Maarten is owned by the Dutch and the French and visa requirements are similar to what would be expected if visiting the European Union. You don't say what passport you hold and I can't tell from my iPad App where you are from, but nationals of Australia and NZ are exempt from needing a Visa. Scroll to the bottom of this page for more info.

Edited to say: I just noticed you said 3 stops. By 'St Johns' are you referring to St John next to St Thomas or St John's in Antigua? I've noticed cruise ships go to both. If the latter, I'm sorry but I'm not sure what the Visa requirements are for Antigua.

I always thought that if you are cruising the cruise company organises visas etc for you at the relevant ports. We've never needed to organise a thing except for ESTA to get to America. When we cruised to Port Vila, New Caledonia etc we never had to organise visas either.

Not necessarily - unless things have changed in the last few years. I was going to do a cruise once that stopped in Tunisia. But to do this, I needed to apply for a Visa from the Tunisian consulate. I really couldn't be bothered with all the hassle for only about an 8 hour visit, so changed my cruise to an Eastern Med one.
Also, I'm sure my MIL had to apply for Visas for a cruise in and around Egypt.

The good thing about most mainstream cruises from the US is that they make it fairly easy on passengers by taking them to countries where Visas aren't needed for US citizens. If US citizens are exempt from needing a Visa, Australians and NZers usually are to. ANZACs don't need Visas for short stays in Vanuatu or New Caledonia.

Well, there you go. The things you learn from Dis! I'm not that well travelled compared to others so don't listen to me people :confused3

I'd love to go back to Vanuatu although DH wasn't overly impressed at what he saw on our trip.
