Just wanted to let those that will be cruising soon know that the app may not work if you have an iPhone that is using iOS 10. We got off the Dream on Monday and realized on our way to the port that my daughter could not download the app...likely because she recently downloaded the iOS 10 beta version.

If you plan on using it download it before leaving home so there are no surprises.

You can download it whenever you want. Actually, it has a cute countdown timer. What you can't do is see your navigators etc until you're on cruise wifi.

i use the countdown portion of the app for other events than our cruises just because it works so well.

I am sure once IOS 10 comes out to the public, the app will be updated as most if not all apps are. Thats the problem with running beta software, developers use the info sent back to Apple to help make their apps work with the new system . Its also one of the warnings you get from Apple that apps may not work with the beta. It will be fine in the long run and I don't think iPhone users will have thing to worry about once iOS 10 comes out.

Correct! That was exactly why I posted. It currently does not work so if you have it (or if your kids do) and are cruising soon it will not work. I'm sure it will be fine when the update is released.
