I booked the 7 night western carribben on 4/23/05. The points went way up and I thought it was peak season as it is spring break up north but he cast memeber assured me it was regular season. Today I was on line looking at the DVC member site and saw the points, the 7 night is regular season but the 3 & 4 night same dates are value season. What gives??? I could have done back to back 4/3day for less points and would have had enough points for two rooms and a balcony in lieu of 1 room with no balcony!!! I don't get it> Any thoughts:confused:

I do know the Western Cruise is more points then the Eastern in the same type period (one week apart) this August. It has something to do with the ports the Western goes vs. the Eastern.

As far as a 3/4 day one being much less combined, that is interersting and while I know it doesn't help you much now it is something for me to consider down the road if we ever decide to sail on points again.

I'm sure people will tell you using your points to DCL are not a good use of points but everyone has their own decisions and reasons why they sail on points. We bought in with the thought that we would from time to time use our points to sail every few years. This is our year to do so.
