I would like to take a Disney cruise with my 19 year old daughter who is a freshmen in college.

Do you think a 19 year old girl would enjoy a Disney Cruise? Are there usually older teens onboard or is it mainly younger children? Would a 19 year old be able to get into the adult only night clubs?

Thanks for your help in advance..

I've been on the Magic and Wonder when I was 18, 19, and 20. I've met great college age people each cruise. They have a college club social the first night in diversions for college aged kids ages 18-21 to meet, in the groups the ages have been 18-23 years old people. We would meet the first night and then head on to the night club and for the rest of the cruise plan to meet up and do things like eat lunch together, go to the pool and at nights we went to see adult only shows in Rockin' Bar D together and would then talk and dance with the cruise staff and band. Here are some pictures from two of the groups

I just took DD18 on the 7 Day Eastern on 4/11 for HS graduation present. She had a wonderful time!!!! She hung out with us every minute of the day. She LOVED being able to spend the quiet time in the adult only area on the ship and Castaway Cay.

As faninaz said above, I was 19 and had an awesome time. The college club is a really fun program, and a great way to meet people. The cruise staff person running it told me that, during peak travel season there are a ton of college age people onboard, and in off peak there will always be at least 8 or 10. 19 year olds can do anything on the ship except drink. The clubs, adult pool, and adult beach are all 18 and up. I have cruised RCI, NCL, and Disney, and Disney is by far the best line. If you have any more questions just let me know.

DD turned 18 on the ship. Palo for your birthday--heavenly!

There was a college get-together each day. Typically, it was a short event designed as a time for that group to meet each other and move on from there. An 18 year old is considered an adult in terms of all activities--night clubs, spa, etc. The drinking age on the ships is 21.

If your college student is anything like my daughter, he/she will have a blast. Mine is trying to figure out how she can take time off college to do the TA sailing next spring (not going to happen!)
