so I've been lurking on this section of the board the past two weeks ever since my sister and I decided to book a last minute cruise for her bachelorette trip. With a little luck and a bit of pixie dust we finally got booked and sail out on the Dream for a 3 day Halloween on the High seas trip in September

I already managed to get us princess meet and frozen tickets and before you suggest booking Palo or Remy we plan on making dinner at the rotational dining rooms our big meals of the day ( have to fit into those dresses

Regarding fish extenders is that something you think two adults would be into or is it mainly for children and families?

And the 5k you book on ship right? And should we bring our beach bag to the race or go back and fourth to the ship

Also since it's Halloween should we pack both a Halloween and pirate outfit or since it's a 3 night and both parties will be on the same day should we pick one or the other

Any other tips and advice would be loved

Ps and sorry for the double post....

I've cruised with Royal twice and Princess once... In addition my sister has cruised a second time in princess so we are not total cruising newbies just first timers with the mouse

In my opinion, I would skip the fish extenders for a 3 night cruise and instead, pixie dust cabins as you wish. :) The main reason I would skip it, would be because it might be hard to get into a FE group on short notice...a lot of groups close or are booked up early on and close out to allow time for folks to get FE's planned. Just my opinion though. :)
Yes, the 5 K sign up is on the ship. Personally, I would go back to the ship and clean up/eat breakfast after the run.
I would be pirates for Halloween and then you are good to go and only need to bring one costume.

Have a great cruise!

Since a three night cruise is so short, I would not participate in FE. Just go and have fun together! Focus on the bride! I also agree with one costume. Have fun!

I wouldn't do fish extender either on a short cruise, especially your first time on DCL. Be sure to spend a little time up in Satellite Falls, it's so peaceful and serene. Other than that, let your inner child shine through and have the time of your life!

We have sailed with the mouse five times with 6&7 coming up this fall. I do not participate in the FE, however, I take a few kid-friendly items with me to add to the FEs down the hall...extra pixie dust, perhaps. Don't over plan this cruise. Two things to consider, since this is a very short cruise (shortest one for us has been seven days):
1. Take a tour of the ship with a CM or on your own. It is fun to look for hidden Mickeys and discover the unique imagineering Disney has created.
2. Let your daily Navigators help plan your day. I would book only one major activity a day in advance, if that. You will find a number of things to do, for adults, that pop us each day that are really cool. Be flexible and, as the knight told Indiana Jones, "choose wisely."
I am the crazed grandfather, according to my grandkids (and my wife), who loves doing daily door decorations. Perhaps you could look now into this means of expression to find your inner Mickey and to help you find your stateroom later on the ship.
In any case, your cruise will be unique and fun...you'll want more!!
