I made a ressie through DVC for DCL and it shows on my DVC member website. I am wanting to start booking excursions and such but the reservation number provided on the member website is not recognized by the DCL website. Any one have any clues??

TIA,
Courtney

You have to call MS and ask for the res#. On my confirmation letter it is an 8 digit number. I think regular reservations have more numbers. If you have your letter already it is the 8 digit number above your start and end dates. I had no problems accessing it the first time I wanted to see it on disneycruise.com . Also you might not be within the window they give you for advance reservations. I cant remember the amount of days. I want to say 75 days, but I might be wrong.

If all else fails, call DCL directly. Since MS was closed for the day I gave them a call. I had a question and they found me in the system no problem.

I haven't received my confirmation letter yet. When should I get that? We are cruising in December. I would think that you could make reservations for excursions and such further out than 75 days. This is my first cruise....obviously.

Relax! You have plenty of time!

For first-time cruisers, you can make reservations for the Spa, excursions, Palo, etc. 75 days before embarkation. Returning cruisers (Castaway Club members -basically anyone who has cruised on Disney before) can make those reservations at 90 days, provided they have made final payment. Anyone in a suite or on the REAS package can book at 105 days.

Also not that for Palo and I think the Spa, they hold some times/reservations back to book after embarkation on the ship.

At some point after you get your confirmation from DVC, you'll get some stuff from DCL directly. There's one packet that includes catalogs of excursions, on-board gifts, and other things you can book when your timeframe opens. I think we got ours for our June 1 4-night about a week before our Jan 19th 7-night, so they must send them out about 6 months in advance (if you're booked that far). I honestly wouldn't worry about getting into the DCL site to start thinking about what you want to do until then - especially since even that arrives far before anyone is able to start booking.

When we booked it through DVC, it took several weeks to get it- as opposed to the few days it usually takes if booking with cash through DCL.

DVC did give us the numbers though so we could go online. Haven't yet though....guess I should do that to see if it works! ;)
