For Castaway Cay on Google Earth, all I had to enter was "Castaway Cay" in the search box. Can't tell which ship that was docked there when the picture was taken but its either the Dream or Fantasy.

We're pretty sure that the one in Port Canaveral is the Magic.

Yes it is. When you zoom in you can see that it has the AquaDunk feature. The Wonder doesn't yet have that.

Google Earth is very cool and I also have zoomed in on Port Canaveral.....what I want to know is....I know the pics are not "live" but how long ago were they taken and how often do they update.....?

I was thinking the same thing this weekend. We were coming home from a friends sons birthday and saw the google streets car driving around.

My teens are on this frequently and have explored all things disney inside and out. I have no idea how to use it.

In google earth if you look at the bottom of the image area it will tell you where Google got the imagery from and what the date it was taken is.

This info varies depending on what you are looking at and the zoom level.

The Google Maps provides sourcing information (bottom right corner).

What a time machine thread! I actually posted on this thread more than 10 years ago the last time. I'd forgotten my post, but it's interesting to see one's writing style from 10 years ago. For example, I still enjoyed the use of the word "rules" for things I liked.

I find it interesting that Google Maps and Google Earth aren't using the same imagery. Just looked at Port Canaveral on both and Earth shows a Disney ship while Maps doesn't.
