Hi everyone,

First post here, I recently went on my first cruise in August and saw that they had a model of the Disney Dream. I decided not to buy it and assumed I could purchase it online. I can not seem to find anything like them online, have you guys or girls bought any of the model ships from an online source?

Thanks for the help

I believe that sort of thing is only available while onboard. DCL specific items typically aren't available once off the ship.

They are usually only a ship exclusive, but every now and then they pop up online, right now the Fantasy is available on the Disney Store website. We love picking up these replicas, they are well worth it and we usually have the Captain autograph them :)

Do you know if there is a more detailed realistic model available for purchase. That one kinda looks like a cartoon...
TIA

From that website no. But I'm 99.9% sure its the same one Ive gotten for my kids from the ships. It is pretty accurate as to what you would see if you were looking from the pier on the ship. With that said, I do know that there are several other non Disney versions available of the DCL ships that start in the 150-200$ range. Those are sometimes bigger and much more detailed then the shipboard version. Ill look in a few minutes and see if I can find one.

We do the same. My son has all4 signed by the ships Capts.

We have them all too :) It's such a fun thing to keep as a memory! We put them on a shelf with our family photo in front of the ship behind it! We get to update the photo on the Dream this year and the Magic next year :) LOL!

Agree with the others (and we have all four, signed by the captains) - I know I bought one ahead of time (and pretty sure it was the Dream) as they had a sale on the website so I took advantage of that and brought it with us. So, if you can't get it by calling them and asking for it, just keep checking online.

Here is a link to Lego.com, where someone has built a Disney cruise ship model out of Lego. The situation is if the model gets 10,000 votes to create a kit for the Disney ships, Lego will sell the kit. If any one is interested in getting the kit, sign up and vote for the kit to be available for sale. If the kit doesn't get made into a kit, i wouldn't be surprised if you will be able to get the instructions and buy the parts them selves.

I have already voted and they need more votes to green light the kit.

Have fun.
