Hi,

We are sailing on the 14th of December, our Disney go account says booking is open on the 30th of September to book our reservations and on board activities, what time UK will we be able to book? We can’t find that information anywhere

Thanks

So....I'm sure that someone will be able to answer you more succinctly that I am about to, but...in the spirit of friendship, here goes: Booking 'typically' opens up at midnight:01 Eastern Time. Though, sometimes in the past, our booking has been open earlier than that (one time it opened at 7:00pm Eastern Time). I believe that the time difference between the UK and US - Eastern is 5 hours (?). If that is true, I'd start looking at 2pm your time and know that it will open at 7pm, again your time. (Please adjust if the time difference is more...or less.) I hope this was at all helpful. ...and, like I said, I hope that someone is able to address this more accurately for you. Have a great cruise!! :boat:

Although the time difference between the UK and US Eastern time zones is the indicated 5 hours, it’s in the opposite direction from the advice given here. Midnight eastern time in the US corresponds to 5 am in the UK since the UK is 5 hours ahead, not 5 hours behind.

The booking window will open as noted. Online checkin may open earlier, but the opportunity to book activities should not be available until midnight eastern time.

I'm from Ireland, so I am in the same timezone as you.
  1. Disney Cruise line operates on Orlando time.
  2. Disney Cruise online check-in, on-board activities booking and port excursions bookings officially open at midnight Orlando time.
  3. Midnight 30 September in Orlando = 5 am 1 October London time
There are reports of cruisers being able access online check-in before Midnight in Orlando.
Therefor you should be checking your Disney cruise account from 2 am 1 October London time.

Just an FYI for Americans who are trying to be helpful, the names of timezones ie eastern are confusing and not understood by Europeans. This is a better way to explain

9 pm LA time = Midnight Orlando time / Midnight New York time = 5 am London time = 6 am Paris time = 7 am Athens time

The online check in component that opens before midnight New York time is just the part that allows you to enter your passport and flight info/register for kids clubs etc. You do not need to complete that before checking in for onboard activities/port adventures, and you will not be able to register for any activities until midnight-New York. Therefore, I don't think there is any need to be up at 2am. The 5am time is the time you should be online if you want to book stuff.

It may now be too late to help, but this advice is off by 24 hours. Perhaps it would have been better to say that the booking window opens (now opened) at 12:01 am Orlando time on Sept. 30, so at 5:01 am London time (still on the 30th, not Oct. 1st). Some folks count midnight as the start of a day, some as the end.

I recently checked in for our cruise and both check-in and activities opened up at midnight New York time, not 7pm. From other recent reports, it seems that DCL is consistently back to midnight check-in/activities booking now.
