I am getting married in October in WDW. There is a 4 day cruise leaving oct 27...I am thinking of adding this for my future husband and I to enjoy together on our honeymoon...my questin is this--we were thinking of category 7 room...I logged on here to try and find some info but I am getting overwhelmed trying to understand it all, having never been on a Disney cruise...can anyone offer some advice as far as rooms, what there is to do etc...? Please?! In the meantime I will continue to read the many messages on the board...
Thanks for your time!

We have cruised twice on the Disney MAGIC and once on the Royal Caribbean MAJESTY. On the MAGIC we had a catagory 11 and a 10. On the MAJESTY our stateroom was smaller than the 11 on the MAGIC.

Both our DCL staterooms were MAGICal. Even the Cat. 11 was plenty big. The bed was queen sized and even the single bathroom was fine and we found there was plenty of space.

We spent so much time on the decks and exploring the ship that we do not know when we would have used a veranda.

One day we were so tired that we slept in. We did not awaken until after 11 am. If we had a porthole or veranda it would have been harder because the light would leak around the curtains. Our room was dark, quiet and peaceful even at 11 am.

I suggest you book whatever you can afford and no matter what it is, you will love it.

Enjoy your honeymoon. I did (I took mine on the Disney MAGIC after 30 years of marriage as we could not afford a honeymoon when we got married in college.)

We spent our honeymoon in a Category 11 on Wonder for four nights in May, 2001. Of course, we'd been married for 29 years by then!

We loved it. So much that we're going back again. You can do as much or as little as you like. There's plenty of opportunity for spending time alone with each other as well as group activities.

You'll love it!

We sailed on the Wonder on 5/26 for the 4 night for our honeymoon and we were in a category 9 room. The room was amazing! Very spacious and I loved the split bath. I personally will always do this category because first of all, doing other stuff on the ship is too much fun, and 2nd if you get sea sick then you have to remember that the higher your room the more likely you are to get sea sick. Our room was on deck two and it was perfect. When you are higher you can feel the rocks more. And the porthole in our room was huge. We couldn't have asked for it to be any differant.

Hey, im going on the october 27th cruise! Im gonna be in a catagory 7 room also. I think the main benefit of that room level is being high up, instead of at the bottom of the boat. But i dont know for sure...
