Disney Cruise Question

No problem, Vicky! That's a great idea to add a few days at WDW to your trip! Then you get the best of both worlds!

We did that. We actually went on the 7 day cruise and then spent 7 days at WDW. This time we will be doing a 7 day cruise and then staying for a couple of days at WDW as we want to go to MNSSHP (hopefully) and the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

(I read the thread on the DCL Board;) ;) )
Congrats again, Scratch!!

Just a couple of questions - we're thinking about a cruise next Jan or April 7nts, probably Eastern - then we could put the $savings towards an upgrade(already cruised both East and West, so really don't have a preference)...do the Oceaneer clubs provide supper...because I have a feeling our two 5yr olds reaaaalllllly won't want to leave!! How does it work? I understand that the kids are dropped off, mom and dad get a pager...then what? Do you have to book the times they would attend? Or can they just go?

Friends of ours may be traveling with us...they won't have little ones with them...would you recommend this way for the adults to have a cruise vacation...or should we leave the kids home with the grands, and just go ourselves? (Which wouldn't be our first choice, and our friends understand that it's easier for the kids not to be separated from us for a week)

So I guess you could say, we're looking for a vacation -with- the- kids ...
that ultimately means a vacation- without -the -kids- in -the- evenings!!!:)

We got a quote from Dreams for $3000 for the 4 of us for April, incl tax, prt charges, and transportation to and from WDW...or would we do better with a Cdn aganecy??

Sorry to be so long...but thanks in advance, for any help and/or opinions...:sunny:

Hi mbb!
The Oceaneer's Club and Lab are open from very early in the morning to 12:00 or 1:00am at night from what I remember. They will take your kids to supper. You have to register your kids the first day of the cruise, but other than that, we just dropped our kids off. If the kids wanted to leave the club or lab, they paged us. So if you want to enjoy your evenings with your friends, you could drop your kids off before supper and then just pick them up later.

The $3,000 sounds like a great price! We're going on the 7 night Eastern cruise in 10/04 and it cost us US$4701 and we booked in August 2003. We went through American Express Travel Services in Toronto. I think my husband got the initial quote (ie. $4701 US) online and American Express just went with this quote.

Hope this helps!
