What type of scrap "kits" would you want to see for a Disney cruise ? Which areas of the cruise would you want a theme done for ? ( ex. Castaway Cay, Bahamas, Lumierre's , Parrot Cay , etc ). Would this make a good swap idea ? Thanks...Cyndi.

Love the idea. I have 3 Disney cruises to scrap.

kits would be such a great idea for cruises. i bought the disney cruise SB and the diecuts were very generic and i didn't use all of them because it would've been overkill. anyway, the way my cruise SB took shape it would be nice to see themes on: each restaurant or at least something involving food. the pools. the crew members. castaway cay. and disney characters of course.

even if our trip won't be for a while
(DS has to be at least 4 and he is just turning 3 in November!)

I would love to be ready to scrap as soon as I get home from it!
woo-hooo

WE're cruisin in Jan...would love to see something like this...but I'm having so much fun learning about all of this stuff that I'm sure I'll come up with something

I got so excited when I was the thread title. I thought that Disney came out with a kit for the cruises. I'd loved to see a kit with the at least the restaurants.

Can't forget the life boat drill... or the towel animals they make... character meets... excursions... the cabins... your servers... character breakfast...

I didn't even SEE an SB while we were onboard... bummer.

I have quite a few from the cruise done...

We have never been on a cruise much less a Disney cruise. WOW!!! That would be awesome! Wonder if I can convince dh to go on one if I tell him I "need" the pictures so that I can be in the swap. LOL!!! I really don't think we would ever be able to go on a cruise because of the girls medical problems though.

I don't think I ever told ya'll what he did one time. A friend of mine paper pieced me a beautiful Tinkerbell. When dh saw it he said oh how neat but we don't have pictures of Tinkerbell. I said yeah I know. I was just thinking I would put on pages with the castle and/or fireworks. The next day he went to the Disney store and bought the girls Tinkerbell gowns so that we would have pictures to use with the Tinkerbell pping.

OK ToDisney, your pages are great!!! I have questions though.
lo#2 how did you adhere the medal or plastic embossed squares?
lo#4 which month was the IC? What is the journaling printed on? How is the sunkissed hanging off the paper? Are some of the journaling stickers? What brand?
lo#6 where did you get the magical place to be frame?

Thanks!!!

ToDisney,
thanks for the great ideas. I've started a list and if you guy's are interested I'm thinking some time in the spring to do this . It will be small groups of say 5 per category ( like restuarants, characters, miscellaneous - stateroom, crew, etc ). It will be for a page kit ( probably three or four handmade items per person ) and maybe a small embellishment bag. I have all winter to ponder over it. :teeth: Keep those suggestions coming.

Kelli, do you think you guys could do a three day ? I know the girls would love it , and it would be great for you and your husband. Have you checked to see if anyone else in a similiar situation has ever taken a cruise ? I know they could accomadate you physically it would be medically that would be the issue.

Ladies, keep those ideas coming. Even if it was a small group this could be fun.

Thank you!

Okay... to answer your questions...

LO#2: I used Memory Book "Glue Dots" They're wonderful and PERMANENT right away!!
LO#4: It was the June/July issue bottom of page 75. The jounalings is printed on vellum and the "Sunkissed" is a sticker that's just hanging off the edge. I *think* the stickers are by Stickopotumus????!! They're called "Cafe Sayings" and I think they even have a Disney one (that I have somewhere... LOL!!)

LO#6: That frame came in the 2003 Capture the Memories 12x12 kit sold at DisneyWorld, along with the patterned paper... I think it's LO#5 that uses another frame and more PP from the same kit.

Cyndi... how could I forget... you'll also need some for the labs/clubs and maybe even Flounders? Maybe even a title page for that first picture they take of you arriving and maybe a last page to finish the book. How about pocket page kits for all the navigators and stuff?

Thanks so much ToDisney! I love those Cafe sayings but have never bought any of them.

Cyndi, we have never really talked to anyone about it. Maybe I should post it on the DCL board and the DISabilities board. Thanks for the suggestion!

Oooh.....The possibilities are endless. Thanks ToDisney. Adding this to my little notebook. :teeth:

Kelli, that would be awesome if you all could go. Keep us posted .
